hi all,

I have just been selected for the DV2012, I sent all my papers 2 weeks ago ( 15 th oct 2011) to the KCC.

Having studied in switzerland in the technical field, I have a Swiss "CFC"( 4years in mechanic, certificat federal of capacity) and a "Technician ET"(ET= ecole technique in french or technikum) degree as a mechanic constructor.

I don't have a highschool degree , as I switched to professional training, but I exceeded the 12 years degree and finished with 2 professional degrees instead of going to University.

on top of this I Have a full US ATP (airline license) (FAA), and a flight instructor (CFI)to teach US guys to fly planes and an European commercial license (JAA ATPL) for pilot and a rating to fly airbus planes .

All these licenses are issued by the US FAA and JAA.

Do I qualify for an immigrant visa considering my swiss diploms are not recognized everywhere as Switzerland is not part of Europe.

I have not worked 2 years in the last 5 years but if i consider all the years I have studied, I have over their minimum.

-July 2011 green card winner

-October 2011 sent pack to KCC

I would say yes- the four year Swiss apprenticeship is higher than a highschool diploma, plus you have the other things too.
