WAITING FOR WIFE(LIFE).....STORY OF F2A

PD 23 dec 2010

Posted

Congratulations patient lover!Could you please help me here,my husband will also became a citizen on 2nd dec in Newyork and we are planning to upgrade our case immediately after the swearing in.My petition include my two children and the case was completed on 30th dec 2010.my questions are

a)how long will the uscis take to process my children's i 130?

b)after upgrading, will i get an interview immediately or my case will be delayed until my children's i 130 get approved by the uscis?

c)does it mean that my husband will have to file a new i864w for each child again?

Please people help me coz we are so worried about this.My PD IS 30 NOV 2009.

First of all thanks alot.

Now a. If your children's I130 have already been approved and completed, then they will just change the status of the cases which will be immediate relatives.and that don't need to worry about PD...Their PD will be current.and they just will have to wait for interview date...But you will have to notify the responsible office.depends on where the cases are right now..You can always make sure with NVC.In my case the interview dates were already scheduled but in the meanwhile I became citizen and then my child was asked to present I864W signed by me.

b.You will have to wait for the I130 approval even if u are citizen.

c.If you have already filed I864 for each child ,then you dont need to file it again. Its for those who haven't filed before.Like me I had not filed it.I had sent I864 only. But unmarried minor children of citizens don't need affidavit of support.cos they will automatically become citizens. Its called exemption from affidavit of support.Citizens will be taken care by govt and wont become public charge.

Hope that answers the questions...Someone should correct me if I am wrong.

congratulation brother patient lover pray for me please

I will inshaAllah.

Hay congratulations bro.. if you dont mind would you please let us know what type of questions they ask in the interview. it will be alot easier for the other's preperations.

Thanks

First their finger prints were taken. Then asked a few questions like

What does your husband do?

Is this and your husband's first marriage?

When was the last time you talked to him?

Who is the co sponser?

Why is your husband working only part time ? (cos I study as well)

Actually my father was there with them. And He was assisting as well..He is citizen and was allowed to be there and assist them if any needed.

I think those were just formal questions...Then the visa officer said.Everything is good,as soon as the Form I864W for the child arrives ,you will get visas.I was afraid of the administrative process which by the grace of Allah SWT was not mentioned.
