Hi Everyone, Hope all is going well with all of you and the waiting for all these papers is not driving people insane!

We had our AOS transferred to CSC from MN on July 14th, 2011. Countless couples were transferred after we were and already have their green card. Some in 1.5 months from transfer. Some 2 months. Few over 3. We are at about 3.5 now and just wondering if others had this experience. Why would it be taking so long? We also were told by an InfoPass officer that ALL AOS cases have an interview. No doubt they are incorrect based on all the time lines you see in the stats. Or has this changed? Any comments or info wold be appreciated. Thanks!

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Well we were transferred to CSC in June the year we filed, and didn't get the GC until November. 5 Months for us, even though they always said a transfer is faster.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

Why was it at MN?

Because that's our local office here in Wisconsin. As I understand these things we send to the Chicago lock box, they send it to MN (local office) and if they're too busy they send it to CSC.

It's strange because they say they process cases in the order they are received. But that can't be true because so many that were filed after ours have already been approved and ours hasn't been touched. Although I heard from one guy that they kept track on the USCIS site and their papers were never 'touched' but it went from Initial Review to Approved on the other site. They say each time a case is touched it is scanned and then updated on the site, but obviously that never happened to them.

And yes I heard if transferred the papers were processed faster. I had heard there is 1000 people under one roof there in California to process the overflow of papers for such cases.

cdneh, Did you have an interview?

Thanks for your responses! It's good to hear from someone else that has or is going through this mess instead of hearing the cookie cutter responses from the USCIS when you call them. I can almost recite what they say verbatim!!!

No interview here. And our Petition never recorded a single touch at any time on the website where you can track. The approval letter just came in the mail.

No that's not how it works. You send to Chicago, they're sent to NBC. It's only sent to the local office if you're having an interview.

How strange! 'they' usually send it to a service center next, not a local office next.

Perhaps was a casefile routing error?

Regardless, it's added extra time to your process. I'm sorry.

So on "My Case Status" it never went from Initial Review to Decision? Or are you just talking about where you can see if it's been 'touched'?
