I have been trying to get information of successful visa approval's with CIMT's at London. It is a bit of a delicate subject I guess, and not many people want to hang their dirty washing out in public. I was wondering if there are any VJers that have experience of this. Their crimes, success's and failures of getting approved.?

Thanks

Well.. I had a caution for shoplifting from 2008 and a warning for shoplifting too but only the caution was on my police certificate. Both the offenses were on the subject access though. Stupid mistakes.. i know. I was approved and had no problems at my interview. The lady interviewing me did ask about the caution and I told her the truth then she said "oh well.. these things happen". I never went to court though so i didn't have a formal judgement of guilt. Do you have convictions or cautions?

I have seen many threads, varies from those who thought they had a CIMT but did not to a non waiverable ban.

So it depends.

Hi Thanks for your replies. I posted this thread a while ago and it details my convictions etc. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/324589-convictions-cimt-and-likelihood-of-visa-aproval/page__p__4844677__fromsearch__1#entry4844677 Nich-nick you replied then and that was very helpful. Other answers to this old thread were more speculative and not from people that have actually experienced it first hand. Hence my reason for reposting. There must be applications with people with assualt convictions for axample.....

Thanks Again
