Was your husband there? Well the expired car insurance card implies that you WERE on his insurance but aren't anymore (so that's a reminder to bring RECENT and VALID info). Filing taxes together - even though I wasn't working I WAS on my husbands 2009 taxes (and will be on 2010) so I could understand that. Change of address/relocation - you didn't explain whether you were living together or why that was an issue. The lease for the home you own - probably checking to see if your name is on it. Sounds like she doesn't think you're STILL together so try and gather as much RECENT evidence as you can.

Yes , we always file taxes together apparently it did not convince her.we just changed our car insurance provider, the expired one was with me plus car registration with our names on it, because they want evidence for the past 3 yrs.

My wife was born in Colombia, stepdaughter in Venezuela, when coming her, wife wanted to stop in Colombia to visit her mom. Both, were delayed in Milwaukee, the POE for three hours for a complete strip search, both of their luggage was cut up into little pieces. Why? Because anyone that comes from Colombia is trying to sneak drugs into this country. Yes, I was very upset, but couldn't do a damn thing about it. But as long as I traveled with her, she was okay.

Brother fell in love with an Iranian girl, at one time we were friends, can't believe after 30 years, he is still talking about her, but would have been suicide for her if they even held hands.

So how did you dress at your interview? American or traditional? Shouldn't make any difference in this country, but may have played a strong role with your interviewer. Strange how people are judged by where they are from.

Your senators office should be able to help you, we also have court of laws.

How did you come here? Marriage? Job? Win the lottery?

I dressed professionally like for a job interview.

I believe your word that she was rude, I was grilled at my k-1 interview. Even tho the lady wasn't rude, she questioned my almost three year long relationship through and through. They don't wanna be responsible for another 9.11, so to them,we are terrorists or gold diggers, all of us regardless of the country, until we prove otherwise. Every other government office is different than immigration offices.my husband is a marine and every where we go,people respect me and go above and beyond when they see my military ID, but in the interview, despite the fact that I had contacted the embassy before hand about him wanting to be there, they didn't even let him in and to some degree treated him badly. Point is, they are just as responsible for the safety of their country as FBI or CIA or any military branch is.

All of the security checks and background checks are done before entry to states. They do not take a risk to let the people in and then check them.It does not make sense.

Not really,I'm sure you're aware of the recent terrorist plot that involved an Iranian US citizen.any citizen at any can become a threat, foreigner or American

So you weren't dressed like an Iranian woman? Tried to post a photo but got the code instead, even though the photo appeared like it should.

70 year mom-in-law after waiting for a year to get a visa to come and visit us, said never, never again. Just because she was a Colombian, strip searched her. Just because you have drug dealers and a corrupt government, they assume you are the same. Like you have any choice of where you were born. Met many Colombians down there, all hard working honest people, just trying to make ends meet like we are. But we are the peons.

Niki youre acting like a typical entitled iranian and that is coming from an iranian.youre doing everything possible to make sure this wont happen again, whats with the attitude ? It's not the officers job to befriend you and swap recipes With you. The way they look at it, you may or may not be a terrorist and it's her job to determine that.jeez what is it with middle easterns and their paranoia that everyone is after them just because of their color or nationality

PS: this is not Iran, people don't care how high your level of education is,if you're an #### you're a highly educated #### (hypothetically of course)

I don't think it's the officer's job to figure out who's a terrorist, they are not trained for that. They are there to figure out the legitimacy of the marriage. To shout at, or insult an applicant is just rude. I understand that not all applications are well organised, but that gives them no right to disrespect you at the interview. People need to regulate themselves before they get ready to engage others in a conversation, so they can perform their job at an optimal level. Being unorganized doesn't warrant disrespect. Officers are there to perform their jobs in a civilized fashion, remember, the officers work for the government and the government works for the people.

Exactly, where do you stand with the USCIS today? Expecting an RFE or something? A decision cannot be made at this time? Or were you just flat rejected?

Thank you so much for your praying.I have already requested for new IO the same day of my interview and they accepted it.I got my Permanent green card 6yr after marriage. The officer never asked anything for proof of still being married. She just took a look at our joint taxes.I was over prepared though in case. I am married almost 10 yrs now and for the next appointment I have a long check list that she asked for proof of living together.I mean the marriage was good enough that has lasted almost a decade. They should consider it.It is subjective base on who interviews you.

I know that they can ask for more paperwork forever.
