I will not give up.

I will gith a good fight!

In retrospect I probably did not prepare my wife well for the interview. I thought I have prepared the doocuments so well that most such cases they just ask 4 or 5 question that's it. And she assumed that I did all the hard work so she doesn't need to do anything. She never even read the documents I prepared. She could not read in English any way.

Comes up they grilled her with quite some questions until she answer some wrong. She got the details of length of the two visits I visited her wrong. What a shame! I am the one to blame in not giving her enough warnings that she needs to do her own due diligence.

In the next few days I am going to contact the whole world to try to get this resolved for a happy ending.

Unfortunately my wife did not pass the visa interview. She waqs denied for non-bona fides relationship.

I just could not believe it!

I should have known. I did not make enough effort to urge my wife to spend time preparing for the interview. The VO is probably not very satisfied with some of her answers.

I will have to spend a lot of efforts to fight this now.

When you titled the thread 'a tragedy' I thought there was a fight and someone got arrested. Then I read the bold sentence above. That makes it far from a tragedy, I'm sorry to say. However, I am so sorry this happened. But it seems you know exactly what you all did wrong. So, refile and spend as much time on Skype or the phone preparing. Pretend you're the CO and ask questions. Make sure she answers correctly.

This is not about memorizing, but internalizing.

Good luck and I hope you all are together soon.

I think you read my mind. The costs associated with this and the incredible amount of work and frustration that comes with it, makes it hard to believe that anyone wouldn't be thoroughly prepared for any part of this process. In your defense, you are NOT to blame. No, is not your fault. You know why? Because grilling someone over your ex-wife is not 'a case-in-point.' Yes, she must know about your ex, but if you're divorced in good terms, why would that be more important that your relationship with your current wife?

Secondly and more importantly, your wife is not a child. You do not have to be on top of anyone to study and prepare for anything, especially something so crucial. Warnings? Yes, you want to give her a reminder, but she should've be prepared on her own initiative. Plus, you even say it "she needs to do her own due diligence."

Advice, when you refile and you get a new interview, be with her at that interview if allowed.

Good luck.

Don't ever do anything you're not willing to explain the paramedics.

Palladin, we are sorry to hear this bad news. We will pray that the Lord will open a door for you in this situation. Thanks for sharing the cause - it helps others.

Lesson for all of us: Never take interview lightly based on a few peoples easy experiences. Also when there is a red flag like divorce, inter-religion/ country relationship, considerable age difference, .... we need to expect questions related those areas and be prepared to answer those.

I front loaded the petition and application with so much documents of evidences that I thought this is an easy case.

I should have pushed my wife to spend a lot more time to prepare and memorize details information related to my family etc.

They scrutized my wife for 10 minutes on questions related to my ex-wife, which she totally wasn't quite prepared. She just never was interested in knowing too much details of my ex-wife. She knoew how we divorced and when it happened, but she wasn't really interested in knowing all the personal information of my ex-wife.

It's rather ridiculous they would quiz her on my ex-wife, instead of quiz her on events in our relatiship, which is more relevant.

Now how do I get the case to stay in the Guangzhou Consulate and get a second chance?

Most ppl think asking about ex is ridiculous but infact it is not, if your wife was able to answer questions about your ex-wife that shows CO that you two are talking, you have disclosed everything.

Also logically new wife would want to know what was going on with you and your ex wife and you why did you guys have divorce etc before she would want to get married, she does not need to know every single details but not being able to answer any of the questions about your ex would raise some questions in CO’s head.

In your case it seems at this point in interview CO determined there was no need to go any further in the interview and cease the interview at that point rejecting the case.

i am so sorry to hear that, but a lot of the rejections that i read about, somehow come from china..well dunno about the facts of your relationship, but what reason do you think would make them say not a bonafide relationship..they dont care much about the legality of your marriage, but about it being an ongoing bonafide marriage..proving that is hard,or easy depending on your circumstances..but can you please post, why you think they werent convinced about your relationship?and once again,i am so so sorry for this..it is tragic indeed..i wish you luck for the future...

Was your ex-wife on a visa? If so this is an automatic denial in China, because the reason for denial is that they believe you are just applying for visa's for women for immigration purposes. I highly recommend you head over to Candleforlove.com and contact Marc Ellis, a Attorney specializing in denials in China.

He has a great track record, and his services include interview prep when you go back for next interview.

Is it possible this is what concerned the interviewer more than the history of your ex-wife? Just how wrong did she get the details of your last visits?

I am in a simialar situation. It is my understanding that the case will go back to USCIS and she will either have a chance for a 2nd interview or they will send a notice of intent to revoke, at which time, you can provide additional information.
