Cain campaign has biggest online fundraising day

Two sources within the Cain campaign are telling me that although Mr. Cain was hit with sexual harassment accusations in the 90's from two females who worked for him, when he was president of the National Restaurant Association, Monday's online campaign fundraising for the campaign was the best ever up to this point.

Human Events is reporting that Cain Campaign Manager Mark Block says the campaign raised $250,000 in online donatinos in one day. However, one Cain campaign source confirmed to me that the fundraising for Monday is well over $300,000.

It varies state-by-state.

Check column "Post-Election" on this page for the rules each state imposes. Some states have no restrictions, although most do. This one for Maryland is pretty typical:

Surplus public funds must be repaid not later than 60 days after the election for which the funds are granted. Other surplus funds must be returned on a pro rata basis to contributors; paid to a party central committee; donated to a local board of education, recognized non-profit educational or charitable organization; or given to a higher education institution for scholarships

OTOH,... someone sent me an email yesterday saying that Odrama's birth certificate issue q u i e t l y was sent to the supreme court yesterday or a few days ago. I wouldn't know how much truth is behind all of that.

Right now, I think Cain, Trump, maybe gingrich, are the only ones who would have a chance at beating obama. But, I am only armchair political observer.

I think it is too early for the Dems to pull this dirty trick. I would guess Romney is behind it. It did not and will not work.

It DID get all the conservative talk show folks backing up Cain and may turn out to be his best day ever.

Yeah I laughed when I saw what Cain brought in. Ron Paul has money bombs often and the amount Cain brought in would be shocking at the smallness.

Yep and just a few weeks ago ron paul brought in over $2 Million in the 24 hour period after the Nevada debate. I'm sure of it, because I pitched in during the last hour.... and then they extended it for a few more days.

Hey, if someone sent you an email to that effect, there MUST be truth behind it. It's not like there's ever been any case of garbage being circulated via chain emails. That never happens. Ever. Definitely, this is true. We all know deep in our hearts that Obama was NOT born in the US. And we all know that The Donald will move into 1600 Penn Ave come Jan 2013. How do I know that?
