I-751 November 2011 Filers

So I sent my RFE in back on Aug 24 - still no reply yet but......

We sold our house faster than anticipated, and our new house is still being built. We have to now move to an apartment for a few months. I am waiting until the last possible moment before moving out to submit an Form AR-11 in the hopes that a response letter gets to us before Sep 28.

My question is, if the letter is in transit, will the USPS forward the letter per my change of address on file with them, or will it return back to VSC?

The timing is agonizing for us.

Hope everything will work for you. I am still waiting. I see December 22% approval and yet so many of november filler are left with no answer. I think they are sleeping up in vermont.

If like someone said previously, once u give a call to VSC before u hear from them, they will put ur file at the bottom of the whole pile or list u onto RFE, I really suggest guys not to call.

I called 2 wks ago before receiving the RFE, was told they were still processing for Oct. 24 and not able to make an inquiry for my case since I was still under the normal processing time.

If tht is the reason i got the blue letter, dont call them.

It may bring bad luck......

(sigh...)Who knows~I see some people have been waiting for months w/o any respond. My hope is just nearly snuffed out...

Well I just returned from my husband's home country where we attended a memorial service for his brother who was killed in a plane crash last year. I expected to come home to good news from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration services, but what I received after 10 months of waiting was an RFE telling me that the information we submitted was not enough to prove we entered into a "Good Faith" marriage. Wow, I sent them tax returns, health insurance, auto insurance, pictures, 10 sets of plane tickets showing we took trips together, bank statements, and envelopes from sympathy cards received at our home.

The date of the RFE is 9/5/12. They have asked for the following information: Children as a result of marriage, Evidence that we reside together, Evidence that we have combined financial resources, evidence of an estate, Affidavits from third parties. I will submit: 10 affidavits from friends, family and neighbors, more bank statements, notification from my 401k that my husband is the beneficiary. Do you think this will be enough? We do not have any children, I owned the home for many years prior to marriage and never put my husbands name on the deed, the utilities were all in my name and it has been impossible to get these companies to change it - the cable company put my husband on as a user but wont change the invoice, the same for the gas and power co, and while we need to do it, we have not yet drawn up a will. Any advice would be appreciated!!

According to USCIS, the Tax returns is one of the main document and then names of both of you on all the bills and Joint Bank statements and Joint lease(in your case, you own a home so it doesnt apply). Write a letter explaining them your situation, why his name was not included in the house and other bills. Call the Gas, Power and Cable company tell them to write a letter or send some kind of proof, this account is in joint names etc...

I think the reason for your RFE is that you guys didnt send joint residential documents like Joint Lease Or Mortgage, Joint Bills with the same address.

I understand most of the time utility companies dont put 2 names on bills. I have only joiny electric bill, cable bill is in my spouse name (same address), Phone bill is on my name. Also try to send Drivers license Or ID with the same address, plus other documents.

zrtnl, Its better to ask them about status of case then sitting around and wondering. You did the right thing.Atleast they heard you.

Wow...7 RFEs?....a little concerning. It doesn't seem like its the same guys that have been reviewing these applications all these while. Have the previous guys been moved to deal with the new Obama immigration application and replaced with new guys(newbies)?..just thinking aloud. Goodluck to all.

Just saw online that the GC has been picked up by USPS on Sep 11 and we should receive the new card within 7 days.

Finally,just 30 mins ago,we got the letters from USCIS saying that our files have been approved!!!!!!!! (For myself,K1 and my son,K2)

Date of Decisions: 9/10/2012

Date of letters receiving: 9/13/2012

Aslo I checked the USCIS website, it still states that " Initial review" ????!!!! Eventhough I registered for alerts via email and text. Nothing happened. Anyway, hopefully we will receive the cards within next week.

"Children as a result of marriage" That's a bit of an odd ask isn't it? I was always led to believe that just because you have kids the USCIS don't necessarily would consider that as hard evidence (or maybe that was just comments from boardies). What if you can't have kids or make the choice to not have them? I'm pregnant and didn't even think to send off any documentation to show it if I got a RFE.

We received the green card today. We were notified it would processed on the 8th and on the 10th we were notified it was sent and then another notification today showing it was delivered. I just thought it might be helpful for anyone trying to figure how long from approval to the card actually arriving. Oh and the 10 years is from the date they mailed the new card not from when the old card expired.
