For everyone out there not to worry, my check was cashed today. 8 days after my NOA 1 date.

Well, that's good news. Bio notice should be right around the corner!

How's everyone doing?! Nice to be back here in VJ..

Time to file for our I-751. I just sent my packet last week in California Service Center. Still waiting for their reply. =)

Filed N-400 (Arizona Lockbox) - July 10, 2014

NOA received - July 22, 2014

Biometrics - August 8, 2014

CSC took the money out of my account today. Since I had sent the package first-class without any extra service, I assume that means that a.) the package has arrived safely and that b.) the documents must have fulfilled the requirements of a first screening!

Not a cheap fee at all. I keep thinking how much food I could buy for our little family for those almost six Ben Franklins.

Hey Magicfn1, ROC is a little different to AOS, from what i've read we have to wait for the Biometrics appointment notice - which will have the correct tracking number on it...

Ahhh...government at work.

It's the NOA that effectively extends conditional residency and employment authorization. Since we give a copy (I keep the original) of the NOA to the HR department, they only have the NOA receipt to verify on the USCIS site. What good is it to have online tracking via the biometrics letter receipt number when companies don't care about that notice?

Of course, if receipt numbers are the same then my rant is worthless

The receipt number on the NOA1 is different from the tracking number on the biometrics notice, but...

The online tracking is for you [or your immigration lawyer], not your employer. Your case status from day to day is none of your employer's business. Your employer doesn't even have to re-run E-Verify on you, and even if they did, they wouldn't use the tracking number from the biometrics notice anyways - they would use your name, SSN, and maybe A#.

I filled out a new I-9, and showed my boss my extension letter. They don't even have to keep a copy of the letter - they just need a signed I-9 on file indicating that a corporate officer has "inspected" the extension letter. And that's all your employer needs until you get your new GC.

It is kinda weird that the NOA1 doesn't have the right tracking number, since the NOA1s for the I-129 and AOS forms all did, as I recall.
