I-751 November 2011 Filers

Months after my wife received her ASC Appointment Notice for the Biometrics, now today we received one for our daughter. When we were there in December we asked about it and we were told the USCIS didn't need it. Now five months after we filed they want us to take her the 250 miles round trip on a school day. Good grief. Is anybody home at USCIS?

If she is 14 or older, she should have Bio. FYI, you can go earlier than appointment date with your Bio letter,

for instance on Saturday morning which is a non-school day.

If only the Casper Wyoming office had Saturday hours! They don't.

Our daughter was thirteen when we filed. I knew she would turn fourteen in March and pointed that out to three separate USCIS folks both on the phone and in person. They all just ignored me. Yes now that she is 14 they now decide to get the biometrics they could have had in December.

We drove to Casper today as a Walk-In. They took our daughter's Biometric AND agreed to give my wife and daughter 551 Visa stamps in their passports! Now we can travel to the Philippines next month without worry. Hurrah. The Case Officer looked at our filing, said all looked to be proper but it had yet to be worked by the California office. There was no way to predict from what he could see if we would need to come in for an interview. But that if we did, he would be the one interviewing us.

I received the approval letter in the mail today. Decision date is 4/16, exactly 5 months since NOA1. That was quite a surprise since my status online has never changed.

We didn't have an interview neither for AOS, nor for ROC.

Hope all of you are going to get your approvals soon. See you in the citizenship section later this year!

Congratulations!

I got my letter on a Saturday, and the card arrived on the following Wednesday. So you should see yours very early next week.

Your card came fast! Everyone else's that's already been approved too. I got my letter last Monday and no card yet... Hopefully this week is the week :blush:

thanks guys! Can't wait to get that card and be done with ROC.

Just a small addition.

My letter was printed on the official paper (watermarks, etc) and I also googled zip code. Looks like it came straight from Laguna Niguel :-)

I sooo hope everyone will get their approvals soon! See ya'll later!

Mine came on the official paper from Laguna Niguel too, maybe they've switched back... or just depends on whose handling the case.

Hi! I have been following this forum for help with my questions so I want to add my info to the statistics. Filed on Nov 19, 2011, NOA1 received on Nov 26, Biometrics - Dec 20 and my approval letter received on Apr 21st, dated approved on Apr 17, 2012. On the official letter it was signed from the director of the Sacramento office, not Laguna Niguel.

Also, I sent the tax information that my tax person gave me, not official IRS transcripts.
