I also had my biometrics taken today.

It was scheduled for tomorrow but this morning we found out that my husband needed to leave later this day. Since we share a car with him there was no way for me to get to the USCIS office in Phoenix. (And, by the way, it took us an hour to get to the office due to road accidents and heavy traffic, so I am very glad I don't need to go by myself on a bicycle or a bus.)

I thought I'd walk in to see what happens and maybe they will let me do it earlier.

The office is really big, absolutely different from the one in Texas where I had my biometrics taken two year ago. (There it was a room in the Mexican mall (?!) and the air smelled horrible!)

The security guard was very friendly and professional, asked for the reason of my walk in, took my papers somewhere and came back a minute later to say that it can be done ASAP.

They had quite a queue in the office and waiting time was about 25 minutes. My fingerprints kept beeping and showing red unscreened areas, and I am wondering if they went through :D

So happy to get it done!!

Congrats on getting biometrics done! I had 2 fingers (one on each hand) where the IO had to override due to red. Both said 'fail' He told me that he could see the lines and that they'd be fine even with the red blotches. He said in his experience usually people who get called back to do 2nd biometrics have 3-4 'fail' fingers per hand and you can't see most of the finger lines. Fingers crossed thats neither of us!

I'm literally in your backyard. I suspected the same but considering how much of a breeze dealing with the ASC in Nashville during the AOS/EAD process was has me somewhat surprised too.

Got my biometrics appointment today. It's set to January 9th at 9am. I'm considering a walk-in.

Maybe there's an issue with ASC in Nashville. I am from Franklin, TN and I did call USCIS today as well about it. I sent the package on Novemeber, 4 and NOA1 was issued November,7. Nothing since then.

Got my biometrics appointment today. It's set to January 9th at 9am. I'm considering a walk-in.

My wife had her biometrics done yesterday without the biometrics letter. I scheduled an appointment yesterday to see why it was taking too long to send us the Biometrics and since we are going to Japan we needed it As Soon As Possible. They were very helpful they took my wife's green card cuz it expires in Feb and they stamp her passport they told us that stamp is her new green card until we get the new one. He told us that Vermont is so far behind that we shouldn't expect to see a new green card at least until October or November. He then look in the database and told us that they sent our biometrics letter on the 13th and since we were alrady there they let my wife get her Bio.. done. I'm so happy and relax, now we can start making plans for the holidays. Ohhh yeah once i got home and checked the mail her letter was there and the appointment was for the Jan 9th.

Is this normal?

We received our NOA1 notification on Nov 29 and together with it we received a biometric schedule for Dec. 14. We are done with biometric.

Looks like you are in wrong forum... Aren't you I-485 November filer?

With our NOA1 dated 11/9, no Biometrics appointment letter yet and well beyond the post NOA 30-day window, we called USCIS today for a service ticket. Got our confirmation number and VSC has 15 days to respond. Hopefully that will resolve the missing letter and we'll be able to move forward.

For anyone still waiting for those biometrics appointments and its beyond 30 days, I would encourage you to call.

Well this move paid off!!! YAY - the Biometrics letter arrived (12/16) and our appointment is Jan 9.

Interview Assigned - December 3, 2009 - FINALLY!!

Medical - December 14, 2009 - Passed

Embassy/Interview - January 26, 2010 Montreal, Quebec Canada - 167 days PASSED!!!

Port of Entry - February 26, 2010 Baltimore International, Maryland

USCIS -- ROC package sent off

November 26, 2011 to Vermont station November 30, 2011 received NOA1December 16, 2011 received biometrics appointment.

January 04, 2012 Biometrics

September 2, 2012, RFE Received.

September 22, 2012 RFE responded to

October 15, 2012 ROC approved, 10 Green card on its way.
