YAY! FINALLY! Biometrics letter has arrived, my appointment is on 29th December. Anyone else still waiting I'm sure it's winging it's way to you in the next few days, mine wasn't sent until 2nd December.

Several reasons...mostly due to the holidays and not wanting to miss appointments. I know with my business travel schedule, it's difficult enough staying home long enough to get the mail let alone finding out I'm 2000 miles away with less than a week's notice (short notice flights aren't cheap). Throw the holidays in there and the eternal wait and costs we've all gone through, and you worry about every step till it's done.

And yes, we are still waiting for our biometrics letter too - 30 days later.

EXACTLY! I almost missed my AOS biometrics appointment because they screwed up and sent it to my physical address NOT my mailing address so it was sent back and they re-sent it to my correct address, I got it the night before my appointment at 8am the following day, I made it by the skin of my teeth. If you miss it, it looks like YOUR fault and who the hell wants to re-schedule?? It puts your case back by weeks/months. I have to fly to get to the biometrics place and at this time of year flights book up very quickly, I have just booked my $200 round trip flight and there were very few seats left. With something as important as this of course people are going to worry, mail goes missing all the time!

With something as important as this of course people are going to worry, mail goes missing all the time!

It amazes me that USCIS doesn't mail everything certified.

We already pay a hefty fee, but I'm sure people wouldn't begrudge paying say $10 more for the certainty that their NOA1, biometrics letter, any RFE's and ultimately their GC will actually reach them.

Good Morning everybody, We sent our package to Vermont on 04Nov and they sent the NOA1 on 08Nov. It has been a month today and we still havent receive the biometrics letter and I'm starting to get worry. The reason I'm worry is cuz I'm in the military and I got orders to go to Japan for 3 years and I'm taking my wife with me. We leave in March but before that we're planning to go to Colombia and visit the family in Feb I already bought the tickets. I'm just praying that she gets her biometrics done before Feb. Her resident expires in FEB but with the letter saying that they extend her status for another year they told me that she should be fine traveling.
