hi there..can somebody please tel me..wen can i expect my interview date..case complete on dec1 ,2011...and also what all should i prepare and take to the interview with me? my consulate is in chennai, India..If i am correct i should now be expecting an interview letter by email soon rite..anything else?? thank you in advance...

Unfortunately, I don't know India wait times for interviews. Some countries it's a few days after CC, others are a few weeks, and then there's a few countries that have to wait MONTHS for their interviews (such as Cairo and Ghana). I would suggest looking at fellow Chennai, India members who recently got interviews scheduled. Look at when they got their case complete and calculate an average. Then you can figure out when you should get yours. This is what I did once I got my case complete and compared fellow Canadians.

And yes, you'll get the interview letter by email if you gave the email addresses to an operator at the beginning of your NVC journey. But it'd be better if you called a NVC operator every single day. The emails are usually received a few hours after the interview has been scheduled. For example, in my case, I called on a Friday afternoon and discovered my interview date. But I only got the email around 6am Saturday morning.

Is that email letter acceptable to go get the medical exam?? Or do you have to get the real hard copy in the mail?? Not sure if this is country specific or not...

Thanks, Long.

To quotes a movie, “So how does it happen, great love? Nobody knows... but what I can tell you is that it happens in the blink of an eye. One Moment you're enjoying your life, and the next you're wondering how you ever lived without them.” I felt I found something with Kieu that is rare in life... true love.

If you get it by email, then you will NOT be getting one in the mail. The email one is sufficient for all purposes (medical and interview). There's no way for them to know it's not one sent by mail.

Yup. Just in case. They didn't ask for it at my interview. From what I've heard though, the whole point of getting the X-ray is so you can bring it do your new doctor in the US if you ever get sick or something so they have a reference point of when you were healthy. But I still brought it to the interview and had it on hand at POE, in case they asked for it.

Grats on the CC! Just continue to call NVC (and now DOS) every day to see if an interview has been assigned.

Hey again! :)

Overnight we received an email from the NVC:

"...We have reviewed the documents which you submitted in support of an application for an immigrant

visa. Please review the information listed under each applicant's name and provide any documents

which are indicated as missing or need additional information..."

Under the instructions section, it says:

"______1 - IMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION PART 1:_______________________

The National Visa Center is waiting for an Immigrant Visa Application to be submitted for this case..."

However we already submitted it last week and the NVC automated voice system says:

"The NVC has received the checklist letter response on ..."

Is it normal for the checklist letter to be generated after the DS-230 has been received? According to the automated voice system, the DS-230 has been received.

The operator knew nothing when I called this morning... Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks so much all! :D

NVC probably has your DS-230 but it hasn't been reviewed by an officer yet. What probably happened is that your AOS was reviewed (and accepted), and they frequently send an automated email saying they don't have your IV package. Just disregard this email. Continue to call NVC every day to see if there's any update to your case. A case complete should be soon :)
