Hey Friends

Got my Interview Package this evening. Is it the Packet 4 or I am yet to receive it? And when am I suppose to sign up for DHL?

I hope now I can go ahead and book my medical at Seidens, Toronto. :)

Congratulations, Jullieta  !

I guess, you have to change your country under your profile :P , since you're going through Canada.

Have no clue how long does it take now to get medical. For my wife it took 2 weeks between the time she called them and actual appointment.

I did my wife's DHL registration almost withing 3 weeks from P4 date. As Saylin says, there's no rush on that.

As far as I know, a certificate and clearance are the same things, just terms used interchangeably.

When I had to bring the DS-230 to the interview, yes, I had to use an additional sheet for the US visits question. You can see what I did here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1lNEm0btviWXw89jNWv0fh1sgPpo8-f2DpVXdv3SFWss/edit?hl=en_US

thank you

I used additional pages for both visits and work.....didn't sign it though....

Guess I will have to wait and see if it comes back. :bonk:

thank you

Always send the packages to the address on the cover sheet. The only exception is if you send them together.

And no, you don't need a photocopy of the form. The purpose of the photocopies is so you can get the originals/certified copies back at the interview. You just need to send photocopies of the marriage and birth certificates.

Thanks so much dear Saylin!! :)(F) (F)

Hubby sent yesterday (Thursday 12.1) the IV package, and it will arrive to NVC next day, that is Friday 12.2!! AOS package arrives also Friday so all material will be there on Friday!! Just crossing fingers we don't get any RFEs!! What a week, when it finally started rolling, it rolled nice and fast, all bills and papers done and sent within week's time. :)

Grats on sending out the IV package. You might get lucky and they might be reviewed next week and then case complete if no RFEs :)

do we able to know whether I 864 packet reached NVC through AVR system.

Or will only be known by talking to an operator

You're going to have to call an operator and ask. But they'll only know the package has been received once an officer starts reviewing the package. They won't know any sooner.

This is why I suggest calling every single day and asking for an update.

thank you saylin.

We send out I 864 on Nov 28, supposed to reach NVC by Nov 29. it would be better if they send out a mail saying they received the files

I have seen some EP people get emails saying NVC received their email with their packages. And the whole point of the EP pilot program is so one day it will be available to all. So, sometime in the future, everyone will get emails when their packages are received.

The automated voice system now says something like 'The NVC has received the response to the checklist? please allow 4 - 6 weeks for processing'. Does this mean they've received and entered both DS-230 and i-864 packages into their system? Should we now start calling and talking to an operator to find out if we have an RFE? I'm still worried about the police cert.

I think it just means they got the 230. But call Monday and see if there are any RFE's.

When you get this message, does it mean that an interview is scheduled yet??

Thanks, Long.

To quotes a movie, “So how does it happen, great love? Nobody knows... but what I can tell you is that it happens in the blink of an eye. One Moment you're enjoying your life, and the next you're wondering how you ever lived without them.” I felt I found something with Kieu that is rare in life... true love.

If I remember correctly, that means they received your DS-230 and inputted it in their system. And you should have been calling them as soon as the packages arrived at NVC. Call tomorrow asap! Who knows, you might have a case complete ;)

It means the case is complete, an interview date has been scheduled, and that the case has been mailed to the beneficiary's country.

I called NVC everyday to find out the interview date. I got it at 5pm and then they sent the email 7.5 hrs later. The AVR has not updated yet because my file has not been forwarded to the embassy yet.

So, call everyday just in case you do not get the email.

I do not know how long chennai is waiting for interviews. Hopefully and Indian with experience will be able to tell you? I thought it was 2 months...

Good Luck
