Awesome, so is calling DOS the only way I can find out if the consulate recieves the case?? Or is there another way to check?? Thanks, Long.

Yes, once the interview date has been scheduled and the case has been mailed, calling DOS is the only way to find out if it's been received. Once the case is mailed, NVC no longer has any access to the case. You can also contact the consulate/embassy, but it's usually easier (and cheaper at times) to call DOS.

Wooohoooooooo...finally got my interview date...4th Jan 2012

We are about to submit the IV packet! Few questions:

1) Do we send the IV packet in the same address as the AOS packet? (I know the address is in the coversheet but read something somewhere and got all confused :bonk: )

2) Stupid question, but do we need to send also a photocopy of the DS-230? We have the original civil documents with the required photocopies, but what about the DS-230? We didn't photocopy the I-864 on AOS package either, so hoping it's ok..

...so thrilled things are moving! But at the same time get all these worries of all the little details

By the way, congratulations for all the guys who received interview date recently!! :) Congrats!!

Always send the packages to the address on the cover sheet. The only exception is if you send them together.

And no, you don't need a photocopy of the form. The purpose of the photocopies is so you can get the originals/certified copies back at the interview. You just need to send photocopies of the marriage and birth certificates.

do I have to schedule an appointment for the medical in Juarez?

I've already scheduled appt for biometrics in Juarez, online site is a bit confusing, so I had to call the centers to get my appt date.

I would suggest looking for this question in the Mexico regional sub-thread as you'd get better information there. All I know is that Mexico is a little different from other countries as you do biometrics before the interview.

Yay, grats! kicking.gif

The interview package = Packet 4.

As for DHL, I'd suggest waiting until the case arrives in Montreal just to be safe. Yes, I've seen people sign up way before they even get an interview date, but I'd feel uneasy signing up that early in case something goes wrong.

And good luck at the medical. Book it as soon as you can in case there's any problems.
