Saylin, Saylin, Saylin,

Interview dateeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee: January 12th, 2012. I am so excitedddddddddddddddddddddddddddd!!!:dance::rofl::rofl::rofl:

I'm not sure how I missed this yesterday, but congrats!! kicking.gifkicking.gif It's about time!

I wanted to know when can I have medical done ? I mean does medical has any expiration? My interview is end of January .

As long as you have your interview letter, you can do your medical whenever you want. I'd suggest doing it sooner than later in case there's any problems. I believe medicals have a 6 month validity period, but might be different in your country.

Hi there!

I just got my NoA2 from USCIS, and I was wondering how long it will approximately take for NVC to receive the file and assign a case number?

Grats on the NOA2! Lately it's been taking 3-4 weeks to get a case number assigned.

Case Completed!! to clarify, do I call NVC for interview date?? and how long before I can start calling?? Thanks, Long

Grats on the case complete! You should start calling immediately for an interview date. That's what I did! Got a case complete one day, started calling about the interview the next day. You can also start calling DOS now and asking the same question as NVC. Good luck!

Thanks :)

I posted some questions in the NVC forum but I think there are not so many people there. So to get the case number, can you only call, or is there a website you can check?

There's no website to check. There's only two ways to find out: by calling and talking to an operator or by calling the AVR. Be warned though, the AVR usually takes a few days to update, so I'd suggest calling an operator every single day until you get your case number.

That's great news! I'm super happy that Cairo is getting rid of their backlog! Hopefully it will get eliminated completely very soon!

When I had to bring the DS-230 to the interview, yes, I had to use an additional sheet for the US visits question. You can see what I did here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1lNEm0btviWXw89jNWv0fh1sgPpo8-f2DpVXdv3SFWss/edit?hl=en_US

Awesome, so is calling DOS the only way I can find out if the consulate recieves the case?? Or is there another way to check?? Thanks, Long.

To quotes a movie, “So how does it happen, great love? Nobody knows... but what I can tell you is that it happens in the blink of an eye. One Moment you're enjoying your life, and the next you're wondering how you ever lived without them.” I felt I found something with Kieu that is rare in life... true love.

I got the RFE by email a few mins ago. I got one at USCIS, now get one here. They want something called Penal Record for Judicial Use. When she went to get this before, they would only issue it if she had an interview letter in hand and if she did have the letter they would do it, but send it directly to Embassy, not give a copy of it. When we sent in the packet we included a copy of Penal Record for General Use. Of course there's a General Strike in Athens tomorrow, so the earliest she'll be able to get to work on this is Friday.

I spoke with NVC today and the wife spoke to the Embassy in Athens(they're very helpful at the Consulate). She will go to get this Penal Record for Judicial use tomorrow and once they fax it over to the Embassy they will notify NVC that it's in their possession and this will allow NVC to schedule the interview. So at least some progress has been made today, you would think NVC would know this is the case with Greece? :bonk:
