What happened to your case and still no completion yet since May ?

We're taking our time, thank you.

I was going over my papers today since I don't have anything better to do as we wait for our interview date :)

To my horror I discovered I made two small mistakes on my DS 230. I somehow managed to get the date on when I graduated from college wrong (wrote Sept instead of Dec) and the date I entered the U.S. on my F-1 visa. I wrote January cause that's when school started but I entered the U.S. on the 30th of Dec. I assume this can be fixed by me bringing a new and corrected DS 230 to the interview and give it to them there? I just want to confirm that this is what I should do...

Thanks for any advice!

PS: Still waiting for interview date and driving myself crazy in the process

Yes, if you don't get an RFE (I expect you won't for something like that), then bring an updated copy to the interview. Explain to the officer you were reviewing and noticed the mistakes and you want to give an updated copy.

Thanks Saylin! My case is already closed at the NVC and no RFE because of the mistakes. Do you think the people at the embassy will give me a hard time about it? Such silly mistakes that I could've avoided if I'd just looked it over one more time :bonk:

Whoops, forgot your case was closed already! laughing.gif

The officers shouldn't give you a problem.

Yes, if you get a RFE, they'll send an email.

And you should be calling every single day inquiring about your case, to see if there's any progress. That's the fastest way to know of any updates on your case.

Hello again my fellow filers from October to November. I would like to ask, is it really necessary to send the original NBI clearance to NVC or a photocopy (meaning a scanned copy of the original)would be enough? I ask this because I send my original NBI document to my husband three weeks ago and still he did not receive it. Is scanned copy of NBI would be enough?

Thank you and good luck to all of us.
