NVC Filers - November 2011

I just received my Police Certificate in the mail from the Australian Federal Police and now I'm worried.

The type of certificate I was told to get by the Police guy was a Type 35 (Overseas Employment / Visa). However this only covers 'Unspent Offences'. There is a second type of certificate. Type 33 (Immigration / Citizenship - Australia) that covers ALL offences. Have I got the wrong one?? Any Australians that can help??

Moved to another thread. Seems the 'Edit' button disappears after a short time on here...

YEEEEEEESSSSS!!!!!! Finally we are moving!! We got our nvc case number and sent immediately the DS 3032!! I-864 bill says still bill not invoiced but at least we are moving. And got our IID as well !!!!! :) :)

Question though, I wonder if we should try to send an expedite request? We have few reasons that we could try our luck, but feeling it's a slight chance (but a chance still of course, never know). BUT if we do send the expedite request, does it slow down the process because they need to process it? Just trying to avoid any delays now, we've waited so much already.. But if it doesn't affect to the process, then we might as well try to send the expedite request..doesn't hurt to try! What do you guys think..or Saylin, do you know how does it go?

Yet no mail regarding DS3032 acceptance

Please remember, it was Thanksgiving yesterday. So NVC will be slow over the next few days as I'm sure a lot of employees have been taking work off for the holidays.

Grats on getting the case number!

Depending on your reasons, I'd say go for it if you think it's strong. I don't think it'd delay your case, but I can't say for sure. Honestly, if you do everything quickly (pay bills and send the packages asap), then you can be out of NVC within 2 or 3 weeks. Lately, it's only been taking a week to review packages.

Woot, grats! kicking.gif Sometime next week (hopefully), the IV bill will be invoiced. Keep an eye out on the payment portal and pay it asap when it's invoiced!

You're going to need the interview letter as well as your passport. You also need 2 passport pictures (might be different number for you). And then the medical results. That should be it for MANDATORY things. Then there's a bunch of optional stuff, such as previous submitted forms (I-130, I-864, DS-230). And most people bring proof of marriage. And if anything changed since NVC (new job, new address, etc), then you'll need to bring a new form(s).

Hello again, I'm back asking question. lol. First of all I want to thank Saylin for always answering my questions here. I called the NVC automated system last night and it says "Your case is completed on November 25, 2011". Now, my question would be, can I start calling this Monday to ask for an interview date? Or shall I wait for them to email me? How long it would take for them to schedule an interview date for Manila embassy.

Thanks.

Grats on your case complete! kicking.gif

And definitely start calling NVC and DOS on Monday. And then everyday until you get your interview date. Sure, you could always wait for the email, but most people find out much quicker by calling. I found out by calling on a Friday afternoon, and only got the email Saturday early morning.
