Saylin thank you for always replying me, that is what I am also thinking about. If we just send the current and get an RFE later on. I wish I knew this before that it is just ok to send the current year. My husband just order it last Monday. It does arrive in his mailbox yet.

Since he got a new job, he's going to need to fill out a new I-864 so it's updated. And if he can get the employment letter, that'd be good, although not a big deal as you have a co-sponsor. Now, I don't know how the embassy in the Philippines is, but you shouldn't have a problem as you do have a co-sponsor and all their documents, and they make enough for a household size of two. They might ask questions, they might not. I don't know what kind of questions Philippines ask. But be prepared and know what the co-sponsor does for employment and such.

For tax information, it's only required to send last year's information (2010). It's completely optional to send the last three years (2008, 2009, 2010).

My husband and I decided to do three years, "just in case". We didn't want to just send the recent year and then be issued an RFE for the other two years for whatever reason. Even though his other two years were below the poverty line, we still sent them.

When did you order the IRS transcripts? I know when my husband ordered them, it only took about a week.

Ohhh! Thanks for reminding me re the updated I864 form (haven't thought of that). All of this preparation's driving me nuts! Phew! Glad you took time reading and RESPONDING to my post (no one else did). Is there any chance I'll be denied? I've seen a lot of cases bein denied coz of this AOS thingy (or am I bein paranoid?)! Should I still secure a copy of all the documents the co-sponsor submitted during the NVC process (so I will have my own copy during interview)? Hubby wasn't able to make a copy of ALL the documents our co-sponsor gave us. All of the originals were included in the AOS packet. He thinks his AOS papers are what I only need to present during interview.

Hello jon&cess - I have read your post and noticed that your hubby only send his 2010 IRS? is this correct? I just want to ask this again though I already read it, just want to make sure. Me and my husband has been debating on this IRS thing, either we just send only the 2010 IRS, etc. This IRS is delaying our AOS package. Because I want my husband to send 2008,2009, and 2010 but my husband insist just to send the 2010. So for the meantime we are waiting for his 2008, 2009 to arrive in the mail. Thanks for your reply.

Saylin's right! Trust what Saylin says, she basically knows EVERYTHING! :luv: Did save us a lot of money (rather than hiring an immigration lawyer). Haha!

hi i only sent the IRS tax return for the most recent year since the other 2 years are optional and my case closed in less than a week. but every case is different, if you believe it will benefit you to have them in the packet then just wait for them. and when i ordered them from the IRS it took about 4-5 days for them to arrive.. good luck :)

Haha, just make sure you go over at the end to see if you have every last document. Do this a couple of times :P If you want, even post your list here in this thread or PM here.

And yes, there's a chance you can get denied. There's that chance with EVERYONE. But stay positive and KNOW you'll get the visa, and you will.

As for the copies of the co-sponsor's documents, no, the embassy probably won't ask for them, but if I were you, I'd get the copies, because the entire time up to the interview, I'd be worrying if they're gonna ask for it. Plus, it's a really good idea to have a copy for your records. I still have a copy of ALL documents sent in inside my folder. I probably won't ever destroy it.

And I'm glad I saved you guys a bunch of money ;)

Thank you so much for the prompt replies Saylin! I guess we have to secure a copy of ALL the documents we have included in the AOS packet. I'm hoping I'll have everything before Dec 9. Of course, I still have to review 'em. :reading:

I was just wonderin. I tried signing in the payment portal today and it still no SIF. The receipt page always displays. Am I the only one who's experiencing this? Should I worry? :dead:

Good luck with getting all the documents. Hope you get it asap so it can be in hand by the time of the interview.

Yeah, I've heard of people not getting SIF, even after case complete and with an interview date. I know that when I try logging onto the online forms portion that Canadians (and other countries) do, I can still sign in, and I'm in the US! laughing.gif

just finished filling out the affidavit of support and ds-230, hopefully I can sit and wait for an interview date with you guys by the end of the month...

To quotes a movie, “So how does it happen, great love? Nobody knows... but what I can tell you is that it happens in the blink of an eye. One Moment you're enjoying your life, and the next you're wondering how you ever lived without them.” I felt I found something with Kieu that is rare in life... true love.

Grats on the case complete! kicking.gif

And whatever you do, do NOT listen to those operators when they say they only schedule during the second week. It's a big LIE!! They schedule ALL month long!!

when they ask for surname do I give my maiden name or my married last name, I have changed my last name already

If you've changed your last name, and your passport reflects your new name, then use that.
