Hey guys i needed help here.I have filled for I-129f for my fiancee in Ghana and have just recieved a notice from department of state saying my file has been fowarded to Ghana Embassy.

Please these are my questions.

1. Can i tell her to start the vacinations and the medicals now before the interview ? and if so where can i find the form meant for that purpose please?

2. How much does the medicals and vacinations cost?

3. Do they give out the K-1 visa more often or they are tough on that too.

I would wait till around the interview date to get the vaccinations done. They have specific hopsitals that they have to do the vaccinations.

I have heard the medicals cost about $350 but that could alsways change. The visa fee is also about $350

I would wait to get the vaccinations done as the previous poster said because of the restrictions on where she can go. Also, they will be given in conjunction with the medical which is only valid for 6months (I think).

As for the K1, always be prepared. There are some who seem to have easy, straightforward cases that have a hard time and vice versa. The best thing to do is be over-prepared and have all the evidence you can get. Also, in Accra it seems to be the norm that they will have you come back for a second interview so be prepared for that too and they seem to be doing that for all the visas.

Better to be prepared for the worst.

Good luck.

ETA: I see from your timeline that you are at the beginning of the process. Accra generally has been giving interview dates very far out (like 12-18 months out after approval the last time I checked). Just want you to be prepared for the wait.
