I got my interview today. It was scheduled for 10:30. I got there at 10, went through security and got escorted to the 3rd floor of the building. I placed my appointment letter in a box. About 15 minutes later I got called. The interviewer my a very pleasant young woman. She confirmed my name, address, phone and work. Then she went through all the yes/no questions. I said I had $80 speeding ticket; she didn't make a big deal out of it. Then she asked me a question, I was hoping not to be asked: how long was I married for to my ex-wife and why it ended. I told her the truth and she moved on. She asked me to read: "Who was Abraham Lincoln?" and to write "He was the President during the Civil War?. The questions I was asked were: "What do we call first 10 amendments", "For how many years we elect the President", "Name of the Speaker of the House", "Who lived in America before Europeans came", "When was the Declaration of Independence adopted" and "The longest river in the US".

Then I signed my application, verified some information and that's it. Painless. She gave me a recommendation for approval and the Oath letter February 23rd. :D She also said they would run final background check before the Ceremony. Does anyone know what this is about? Another thing that concerned me before the interview was the fact I didn't register for Selective Service, but the issue never came up. Also, my 5th anniversary is not until Monday, but apparently it didn't matter either.

I just want to thank you all for support and all the valuable information you shared. You guys are great! Good luck to all that are waiting for their interviews; don't worry, it's not as bad as it seems.

P.S.

Could someone please update the chart with my Oath date (2/23). I just don't want to mess up the format.

Thanks

Congratulations!!!!!!

We will advice you of any further action taken on this case, including any rescheduled interview information, under separate notice."

That doesn't sound alarming. I would just wait for another letter and call them after 30 days if nothing has happened.

I thought I ordered tax transcripts but when I received them, they were 2 yrs tax transcripts and 1 year account transcript - so clearly I ordered one account transcript and two transcripts - but I don't remember what I did differently. I just sent in the account transcript though - I figured it's from IRS, has filing status and both spouses' names and any other info. they may have wanted to glean from the tax transcript.

Hi everyone! Just an update on my interview on Monday. It was scheduled for 11:30 am at the Philly DO. Got there at about 11, but had to wait in line outside as security was slow in getting people through the door. Got to the waiting room at 11:35 and waited for about 10 minutes before being called in. I was then greeted by a very pleasant and friendly officer for my interview. She started off with a quick English test, asking me to read aloud: "How many Senators are there?" I then wrote down the answer, "There are one hundred Senators." She then reviewed the questions on the N-400. The part I was most worried was where I disclosed getting a ticket at a NJ State Park for having alcoholic beverages on park grounds back in 2005. She merely asked what the end result was and I told her it was a $50 fine. She said that since it happened outside the 5-year review period, she didn't need anything else for it.

After reviewing the N-400, she asked me my 6 civics questions and that was that. She then told me that I have been recommended for approval and that my oath date will most likely be April 5th at the courthouse in Wilmington, DE.

All in all, it was very smooth experience. The interview itself lasted no more than 15 or 20 minutes. The interview and yellow letters I received asked me to bring my passports, traffic ticket paperwork, state ID or driver's license, etc. But the only thing she ended up looking at were my green card and driver's license. Quite impressed with the staff, who very professional and courteous! That being said, I'm quite happy to be (almost) done with the whole process. :)
