Hello everyone,

I was wondering if anyone knows of where you can get cheaper flights out of Cairo back to the US...i have been looking online and they're pretty expensive right now. I guess maybe cuz it being last minute..so if anyone knows what websites to check or any agencies here in Cairo i would greatly appreciate it Thanks!!!!

I usually use expedia.com. It depends on the time of your flight. Is it very soon or around Christmas? If it's around Christmas, you don't have a high chance of getting a good deal. Does that mean you had your interview and everything worked fine?

I was wrong. My flight just went up by $400. Yikes.

lol, that happens with all the airlines. i spotted a flight on delta for total 5700 pounds something and 2 days later same flight went up to 11,000 something.

i just found a flight through egyptair that goes direct to new york for 3938 pounds which is good but i heard some not good stories about them so i don't know i'm flying with them first time.

Loved EgyptAir when I flew them from Cairo to NYC. I heard bad things about them too, but didn't have any problems.

I always check a couple of sites like www.skyscanner.com and momondo.com as well as directly with the airlines. I've always had really good luck that way.

cheaptickets.com works for me. Also, one-way tickets tend to be more expensive than round trips. Maybe if you purchase a round trip and just miss the return you'll end up saving more money..... who knows.

I'm going to echo what the others said about one-way vs. round trip. I just checked American Airlines this morning to get an idea on Chile to the US... $2500 one way versus $1200 round trip. It's crazy.
