Timeline

Got my gc yesterday in the mail, just 1 week after the interview.Amazing feeling.Today i will take care of s.s card, and hopefully, i'll have my driver's licence in about 2 weeks or so.That is it,The journey is finally over !

08-30-2011 - AOS/EAD packet sent

09-12-2011 - NOA1 for AOS/EAD with 09-08 notice date

10-11-2011 - Biometrics appointment (appointment letter received on 09/19)

11-03-2011 - EAD card production request

11-14-2011 - EAD in the mail

12-08-2011 - Interview date (e-mail notification date 11/08) APPROVED!

12-13-2011 - Card production ordered

12-14-2011 - Card mailed to our address

12-17-2011 - Got gc in the mailbox! Valid until 12/13/2013 <wonderful christmas gift>

**No more USCIS for two years**

In the end, having the green card in your hand, is, of course, a big step but not really the end of the journey.You still have to deal with s.s and mvc.So, the real end of the journey is when the driver's licence in safely in your wallet.Good luck to all.

10/18/2011 Interview Green Card Approved

10/28/2011 Green Card in hand :)

March 2010 -- Visited US.

April 2010 -- Returned from US.

May 2010 -- Sent in K1 Visa application.

July 2010 -- Received NOA2 in 71 days from NOA1.

July 2010 -- Packet 3 received.

August 2010 -- Cancellation of K1 Visa application.
