Hi Everyone,

I noticed that I shall receive my Green Card valid till my marriage second anniversary while I was planning to arrive to the states just before its expiration date by two month only, so I wonder if someone faced this situation before and if I can fill the I-751 Form to remove the condition using my passport and immigration visa that acts like I-551 after admission or not ?

Also what is the average expected time duration to receive the unconditional GC after filling the I-751 Form ?

Thanks

You read incorrect information

Your GC will not be valid until your second anniversary.

Your green card, if entering BEFORE your 2 year wedding anniversary, will be good for 2 years.

You need to be a legal resident of the US for 2 years before you file for removing conditions.

So, to sum up. You'll enter the US, get a stamp in your passport which will act as your temp green card. Your actual green card will come in the mail and it will be good for 2 years (assuming you enter before your 2 year wedding aniversary). 90 days before the expiration, you file to remove conditions

I've been waiting almost 7 months for my 10 year green card. Filed in April and still no approval.

Good luck
