OMG, MY PETITION WAS APPROVED 11/02/11.... JUST GOT THE TEXT/EMAIL SAYING THEY HAVE MAILED OUT MY NOA2...... IM SO HAPPY I ALREADY HUGGED TWO STRANGERS ON MY WAY HOME ;)

09/06/11 - I-130 Sent via overnight mail courier

09/07/11 - I-130 NOA1 (email/text received 9/8, hardcopy 9/10)

09/12/11 - Touched

10/31/11 - Called USCIS for update (none provided, i was told to call back in February 2012)

11/02/11 - Touched

11/02/11 - I-130 Approved (email/text received 11/03, hardcopy 11/5)

USCIS – 56 days between NOA1 and NOA2 (I-130 approval)

NVC

11/04/11 - NVC received case (I called NVC and operator said case received but not in their systems yet, was asked to call back in a week)

11/28/11 - NVC finally entered case into system and provided me with NVC Case # and IIN

11/30/11 - NVC emailed me case info letter, AOS invoice and DS3032 form

11/30/11 - Emailed DS-3032 information to NVC (email accepted by NVC 12/1)

12/01/11 - Paid AOS fees ($88) via the NVC Online Payment Center (marked as PAID on 12/5)

12/02/11 - Received and paid IV fee via NVC Online Payment Center (marked as PAID on 12/07)

12/05/11 - Sent AOS package to NVC (Received on 12/06, in system and complete with no RFE by 12/08)

12/07/11 - Sent IV package to NVC (Received by 12/08 and complete with no RFE by 12/12)

12/27/11 - Received P4 letter by email. Interview of 2/24/12. Super Happy!

02/24/12 - VISA APPROVED

I want to know the same thing so I can send mine too.....

The lockbox facility in Chicago decides where your file goes, there is nothing you can do to direct it to one specific service center.

Hope i get mine this month of November! i sent mine on Aug 22, 2011

Once you said that, Today I went to check mine on USCIS website after I've been received on 2011-10-11 my I-I130 NOA1 and it says "On October 31, 2011, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

For approved applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include USCIS sending notification of the approved application/petition to the National Visa Center or the Department of State. For denied applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include the processing of an appeal and/or motions to reopen or reconsider and revocations.

What's that means?

I suppose that I'm going to receive my I-I130 NOA2 soon by mail?

Yes, you probably received yours by mail since you posted bc i received mines on 11/02. Now lets see when Vermont decides to send our application to NVC. From what I see NVC wont be so easy. Now its a waiting game for us. Hopefully before the end of the year our cases are completed by NVC.

My I-130 is bring forwarded to this location as of today. I checked online and it says five months on average. Where are you looking at? Could I really have my petition approved before Christmas?

Congrats! im pretty sure your happy. If Vermont keeps it up you probably will get your I-130 approved before the year is over. But in Vermont last years trends your application might not get approved until after the new years. Keep in mind the holidays are coming up and im pretty sure Vermont's approval rate will start decreasing as the new years arrives. Best of luck, and just keep an positive attitude. If i was you I will begin calling Vermont atleast once a week bc your application did last a while in California.
