We went to the Corpus Christi Trade Center (a must-visit), but I didn't see any T-shirts in either adult or children's size that said (in either English or Spanish) "Relax, Gringo -- I'm Legal!" I asked Mrs. T-B. what the Ecuadorians would think if I wore one of those on our next visit there; she said, "They'll think that you're talking to yourself, si man." Fine with me, man.

You know as well as I do that they won't even know what it means. Only the uneducated, out of work folks that have never traveled overseas get their panties all in a bunch regarding the issue of illegals. They are a scapegoat for the poor- nothing more, nothing less.

Running away? I don't have to run because I don't put myself in stupid situations. If I needed to run, I would though. I'm not going to be some tough guy, too proud and too foolish to think sensibly and rationally.

In the event that a crime is committed, then yes if it affects me than I would ask law enforcement to get involved. Regarding illegals, they don't negatively affect me nor ANYONE, unless they commit a crime. And don't post, "But them being here is a crime." Ok, but in 10 years after we have had an amnesty then there is no crime, and after the last amnesty there was no longer a crime... and our politicians actually WANT illegals coming to the US. To call them criminals is extremely two-faced. I'm all for the government deporting the bad apples, but the consequences of trying to deport the other 98%, the good illegals, would be drastic on every facet of life in the US. Not to mention most illegals are hispanics and have good Christian family values. We should be opening our doors to get as many of them as we can. I'd trade 1 unemployable US citizen for 10 illegals all day long. It's all about morals and values, something lacking in an awful lot of folks here in the US.
