AoS:

American petitions for foreigner

RoC:

American and foreigner petition for foreigner

Naturalization:

Foreigner petitions for foreigner

Wrong.

AOS:

IMMIGRANT applies for THEIR adjustment of THEIR status with the USC as sponsor. If it's a K1 the USC already petitioned for the visa, if filing an I-130 jointly ten the USC is petitioning for the I-130 but the AOS is ALWAYS the immigrants which is why the IMMIGRANT can cancel it and not the USC. The USC can ONLY withdraw their I-864

ROC:

Immigrant applies for the removal of THEIR conditions on THEIR greencard. USC can jointly file but it is still the IMMIGRANTS process and the IMMIGRANT can cancel it, not the USC.

N-400:

IMMIGRATION petitions for THEIR naturalization. Can include the USC to apply at 3 years based on marriage but again, it is the IMMIGRANTS process.

Only way I knew how to get rid of that I-864 was to have my wife and stepdaughter get their citizenship, or have them work their cans off for around ten years and pay taxes. Divorcing doesn't work either, still liable. Yeah, all I needed was that I-130, two of them, but only one G-325a, and my birth certificate. A bank account killer was that I-485 and that is the one that required a ton of evidence. The real bank account killer was that I-693, two of those also. Went to that USCIS approved doctor and read the form, was all about communicable diseases. Asked my doctor if I should also get one of those as well, he said, no, you don't need one. I did admit to holding my wife's hand, maybe just a touch more than that.

Yeah, I signed that I-751, figure if I did as the sponsor, would help, also signed that box in the N-400 as I filled out the forms, but didn't seem to make any difference if I did or not, was out of the picture at those stages. Just wanted to see my papers with my joint name on it. Could have sworn under oath my wife was living with me at her interview, but they wanted no part of me. Not even with explaining our joint evidence. After all, this was old stuff to me, entirely knew to my wife with all of our strange laws. But we spend hours, more than six that the Instructions state is the average time to fill out the N-400, so she fully understood all that evidence I gathered. I still wanted to keep her. Still do.

Then they talk about the paper reduction act, that was a very bad joke with over an inch thick of evidence supplied. Ironically, they had every bit of this evidence as we were told to update our I-751 because of their long delays in that processing. Only thing I tossed in extra in that big fat brief case was a joint utility bill when warned by friends. Isn't a marriage certificate enough? Or even when I added my wife's name to my paid off home deed? What a bunch of basterds they can be, but surprise, we had one.

If I knew they were going to ask my stepdaughter to bring in proof of two minor traffic violations she received as a minor, could have given her that, this was last March. Another delay. This was really stupid, as a minor, we her parents had to show up in court with her, I had to pay the fines, she didn't have any money. But when I went to our courthouse in town, wouldn't give me that proof, stepdaughter was a minor at the time and due to some privacy act, only she could get those. She was away at college, so had to come home just to pick up those two pieces of paper, like I never knew about those fines.

God, with live in a country loaded with idiots.
