Guys, does anyone has an idea about citizen born abroad process?I had just filled for my newly born baby in Ghana Embassy, they took all the filled forms and evidences and asked me for a DNA test.I have just initiated the DNA test and my sons sample has been scheduled to be collected on wednesday 3rd at the embassy.Recently i e-mailed the embassy and asked them what will be the next step afetr they have gotten the results? And the reply was "we will complete the application process as soon as we recieve the results"what do they mean? They actually have all the documents his passport forms and his pictures and all required evidences,

Can someone who has gone through the same thing share his or experience with me please after the DNA results please?

If the DNA test shows that you, the US citizen, is the father, then the CRBA will issued and your US citizen child will get a US passport.

If the DNA test shows that you are not the father, then the CRBA will be denied.

Thanks but i want to know as soon as they get the results and is positive they will just issue the passport all ask for more evidence

Maybe they mean that as soon as they get the DNA results they will process your application? I do not know how else to interpret this statement. Sounds good to me.

i did it for my son and was approved, dont know about your case and the reason why they asked for dna,my son was born in wedlock and the only evidence we provided was citizen parent`s old passport and tax transcript for the last six years. i believe you will be approved once the dna is positive and your sons passport will be ready within 4 weeks.
