The medical and police certificate are only good for 1 year.

Its not advised to get them before the NOA2 unless you have an extremely long wait to get the police certificate for your country.

You will want the medical to still be valid when applying for AOS. Or you have to pay in the USA for a brand new full medical if its expired because you got the medical too early.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

The medical depends on the medical center; they may require an NVC case number and/or letter before you can make an appointment.

The police record depends on the term of validity once it's issued; some are only good for three months, so you might risk having to do it again. If it takes a long time and is relatively cheap, I would recommend getting started on that one. We started before NOA2 and that is still holding us up.

While waiting for my NOA2, can I go ahead and have my Haitian fiance get a police record and go to the approved physician for his medical or does this have to come AFTER the NOA2?

hi,

I suggest you wait for the NOA2 the reason why i say that is you don't want to spend money and something happens and you have to redo everything again, I KNOW that there isn't a long wait for the police record in Haiti and you need you interview paper to get your medical done too. They even asked my husband to provide the NOA2 to get his Police record. Just get everything else ready like the BC Passports and other papers needed for that step, I'm CR1 so i'm not 100% sure what paper is needed for K1s. good luckgood.gif
