Nattychic,

This is the envelope that they give at US Embassy in Manila, I'm sure yours will be similar. Don't open at any dare or you may be turned back at POE for opened envelope. Listen to your instructions not what is here say......best of luck!

Bob

Im confused, ours looks like that but without the plastic bag over it does this mean someone opened our packet 3 before we received it?

Curiosity landed the bullet in the monkey forehead...you have no business opening the envelop...To me everything inside the envelop is your paperwork nothing special because i happen to see them open mine at New-York...form D-230...medical result...affidavit...photo passport and things you submited at the embassy...But if you open it...wow..you will return to your country and get a new one...that is what i heard and you will pay plenty dollar for it...maybe that is the penalty for not heeding their advice.

My advice is do not open it.

Quick question guys, ive been reading that the embassy gives. U a sealed envelope, can u open it or do one get in trouble. I'm asking cause someone today said that she would open that envelope even if you're told not to. When I did my medical the doc gave me a sealed envelope and I submitted it as is; I told that wise person that and she called me a coward. I mean it is our life we should Hav a right to know; we are paying customers after all. Is this 'wise' person leading me in the wrong direction? Or maybe she's jealous that i Hav gotten through so fast and her process took nine years.

dont listen to others......they might give you wrong information....just follow instructions from uscis...

My envelope did not say "do not open" and they used just a piece of tape to seal it.

But I didn't risk it and left it unopened :D

You know what is inside anyway, and if you don't know, you see it at the POE where they open it in front of you ;)

Smart to listen to everyone here. They all said the same thing. DO NOT OPEN. If this person tells you again you are a coward, just say."Yes I am, but I am going to the US and your not".

Sure - open it - it has magical popcorn in it. :pop:

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

WARNING: Phrases in this post may sound meaner than they were intended to be. Read the Adjudicator's Field Manual from USCIS
