Hi everyone, we are now at the point you get nervous wondering if you forgot anything or did you even spell your name right. Our k-1 interview is Nov 25th. Interested in any experiences others my have had with USEM concerning I-134. Since my income is above the required I didn't send documents for everything I listed property wise such as mortgage and insurance policies etc because my thinking is since I am not using assets to qualify they only want a value to create a financial picture. Besides it is now a crime to make any false claims there. As per directions I did send most recent tax return because I was self employed for that year. I sent a brief letter signed and dated by myself explaining I am now incorporated and explaining my cash flow projected income etc. As the owner I am my own employer so that's as close to an employment letter as I can give them. I did send Corporate initial bank document showing me as president an date opened, personal initial bank document showing date opened. Corporate papers for my State to show the company is registered and legitimate, 3 months bank statements corporate and personal and a transaction page going back to July showing my pay transfers from corporate to personal ( I dont use pay stubs). 3 Months CPA reports signed by my accountant showing company profit and personal payment info and ongoing company and personal payroll taxes. I realize I am the one that has to qualify but thought it was important to show some evidence of my company too. My real question is am I correct not worrying about asset documentation since I m not using it? I just put the whole list here so others with experience can have an informed opinion or point out anything I may have forgotten, thanks for any advice. Jim.

Showing asset documentation is optional, if you already qualify with the income bracket, you are good. With our I-134, we only show his income from work and no asset documentation since work income is already good and just supported it with income tax return and letter from employer.

Ok thanks for the replies, I was trying to be sure if you are using income that the asset documentation was not a big deal and trying to be sure I didn't forget anything. Jim.

Why worry if everything you stated/claim is true and can be validated. Seems your more financially sound compare to some of the members.

My worry was if I am understanding correctly about assets. Don't let the title mislead you I only incorporated due to some laws changing, all it really means is now I get taxed twice and get to pay an accountant :crying:

No worries if you already meet or exceed the 125% poverty guidelines. All I used was my income, employer letter/pay stubs, and tax transcript for 2010.

You already have that covered according to what you posted. The interview is really easy as long as you have all required documentation. The hardest

part is waiting. Good luck!

Could anyone explain the income requirement??

What is 125% of poverty? Anyone know the $$$amount?

What would be a qualifying income?

If you meet or exceed it, there is no reason to include real estate you own. If you don't meet or exceed, then you can use it

in conjucntion with property you own. I do not know the formula for using property. Hopefully, someone else can answer it

for you. I have read here before that you must have an appraisal done and submit that with the I-134. Someone will correct

me if i am wrong about including property. Maybe someone with direct experience in including property will provide you

the information.

Dindo has it about right. While you are looking at the income chart check same site for asset requirements. From what I remember if you use assets it must be 10x the income requirement but that was some time ago so check that.
