NVC- AP- ANYONE ELSE IN THE SAME BOAT :(

It is so frusterating to wait almost 5 months for approval by CSC. Then it gets to NVC and you expect it to go right out like everyone else. I called.. they said.. Oh your case got randomly selected for AP. We have no time frame ! I am 3 months pregnant with Twins and have been waiting so patiently for him to get here. I want to scream

There is a pinned thread just near the top. It is called Stuck at NVC for AP. It is pinned but you can still read it, and make use of the info in it. That thread was begun back when they first started doing this, to fiance visa applicants.

Captain Ewok closed the thread when it hit 204 pages. I did start a Stuck at NVC Part 2, although no one posted in it. I had hoped that meant they had stopped this stupidity. It seems that while wait times may be shorter than when I was stuck there, they are still putting K1's in AP. When the thread was closed, it looked like times had come down from weeks and weeks at a time to about 20 days or less. I do not know what times are like now, as no one is posting in a consistent

place that we can keep tabs on.

I agree it is frustrating beyond belief. We were there just under 8 weeks. I will post our timeline from back then. You can see from that I went ahead and got everything else ready to go.

K1 Timeline

Jul 01-08... I129f sent to Vermont

Jul 3-08 ...Delivered

Jul 28-08... NOA1 - after 25 days

Jul 31-08... touch

Nov 18-08 NOA2 - after 140 days

Nov 19-08 Arrive NVC

Nov 24-26 08 NVC notice advises case will be sent to Akl within a week

Dec 3 -08 Still at NVC NOW we are told we are in AP since 21st Nov

Dec 10 -08 Packet three sent on the basis of having NVC case number

Dec 18 -08 Medical completed with Dr Stone in Remuera

Jan 3 -09 In AP over 6 weeks.

Jan 10 -09 After 7 weeks and four days...we're out of AP! ..53 days in limbo...

Jan 13-09 Auckland reports having the electronic copy

Feb 02-09 Interview 09:30

Feb 02-09 Visa approved!

Feb 04-09 Visa delivered!

Mar 03-09 POE San Francisco!

Mar 27-09 SSN arrives in the post

Apr 8-09 wedding

No worries. It helps to know there are other people who were/are stuck where you don't think you can get stuck. It passes!

AP is never comfortable or any fun for anyone. It is much worse to go to your interview and hear approved and THEN go in AP...

then your left wondering omg what happened, was i approved or not, i thought i was. sorry wish i could have finished all this before but alhamdulillah my husbands ap is completed.
