On September 19th US embassy Riyadh told me that my husband's AP was over and we should get visa soon. After two weeks we still did not get visa and Embassy told us that My husband needed additional administrative processing. Today I called the embassy again. They told me exactly this: "we received the information we were waiting for. Now your case is being moved to the next step. We should contact you soon." I asked them how long it might take. I told him that my husband has to attend a conference in UK first week of december and if he will get his visa before then. He told me that it should definitely be done before December. He told me that there might be some news by the end of this week. If we do not hear from them within three weeks then to contact them.

I am a little nervous since the embassy had given me hope before too. Does anyone know what is the next step after security clearance is done? Usually is there anything else that needs to be done before visa is issued? any opinion will be appreciated.

Thanks for reading my long topic.

Aww dear its ok im sure it will be soon.. sometimes they simply have to put the info together and make another pass looking thru the case and sometimes they have a meeting to discuss and then the visa is issued... if they are telling you this then im sure it wont be long at all...

Wish our news was more on this than pending ... the last update we had was yesterday and it was pending at embassy for admin processing and will contact when complete...

good luck

Eabbas, I hope you get good news soon. I hope my husband can get here before the holidays. Our anniversary is coming up in three weeks. It would have been great if we could be together before then. Atleast hoping to celebrate New Years Eve together.
