Nothing worng with "outside help". and both countries have policies in place for that. Are you suggesting that anyone simply go into Quebec to work if they need a job? How do you think the Quebec unions feel about that? Is it OK with the Quebec government? Canadian government? Would they care if I work there with no SIN?

We in the US have established standards for people working here. Most of those have been supported and promoted by people that call themselves "liberals". These include a minimum wage, OSHA, workman's compensation, medicare, Social Security, ADA, FMLA, etc., etc. All of these benefits, standards and conditions...and the associated costs...are avoided and the profit pocketed when illegal workers are used. It is nothing more than pure exploitation and "human trafficking" for profit. Anyone that looks the other way as these people are abused and exploited is a racist of the first order. A person who demands one set of standards for certain workers and looks the other way as people of another race and nationality are abused, ultimately for their own profit in artifically lower prices. It does not matter that the victims participate in this willingly.

We need to make it unprofitable for businesses to abuse and exploit illegal workers for profit, then they will not. No jobs, who will come here? For what?

THEN we can focus our resources on bad guys.

Yah, that's what the politicians say too ... a lot of hype some of which I believe and some of which I don't. Politicians, like to exaggerate things a lot. They have a few purposes in life .... some of which is to amuse, aggravate and stir up ###### sh$t.

This is simply not true. There have been many thousands of illegal Haitians, chinese and other nationalities. The second most commonly spken language in Montreal is Chinese, there are a lot of Chinese there and many have immigrated illegally here. A couple years ago a string of 6 restaraunts in Burlington were closed for employing basically slave labor, all Chinese immigrants that came from Montreal. They were housed in an old house with 31 people to one toilet. THAT is the face of illegal immigration, but whatever we do, we should not check anyone's ID

when the USA gave a special consideration to Haitians, victims of the earthquake, thousands flooded across from Quebec to claim to be "earthquake victims"

How many times were you questioned by CBP?

Actually yes its very true and here is just one more example of another one.

Do we have a problem with illegal Canadians?

I don't have a problem with Canadians. They're due back in our neighborhoods soon. It's getting too cold up there. They're good for local business. Not so good for traffic but then neither are our old resident folk and tourist from elsewhere.
