aside from your spouse, whatelse?

> for the beneficiary (birth certificate, passport, I94, EAD or advanced parole if any, driver's license)

> for the petitioner ( birth certificate, passport, driver's license)

plus:

> marriage certificate

> lease contract ( apartment )

> bank statements

> life insurance

> photos

are we missing something important? thanks!!

Bring a full copy of the original package, just in case. Originals of all copies you sent. Also, if the beneficiary has an SSN card, make sure to bring that too - they often ask for that in the interview.

03/03/2011 - Day 0 - AOS -package mailed to Chicago Lockbox

03/04/2011 - Day 1 - AOS -package signed for at USCIS

03/09/2011 - Day 6 - E-mail notification received for all petitions

03/10/2011 - Day 7 - Checks cashed

03/11/2011 - Day 8 - NOA 1 received for all 4 forms

03/21/2011 - Day 18 - Biometrics letter received, biometrics scheduled for 04/14/2011

03/31/2011 - Day 28 - Successful walk-in biometrics done

05/12/2011 - Day 70 - EAD Arrived, issued on 05/02

06/14/2011 - Day 103 - E-mail notice: Interview letter mailed, interview scheduled for July 20th

07/20/2011 - Day 139 - Interview at Federal Plaza USCIS location

07/22/2011 - Day 141 - E-mail approval notice received (Card production)

07/27/2011 - Day 146 - 2nd Card Production Email received

07/28/2011 - Day 147 - Post-Decision Activity Email from USCIS

08/04/2011 - Day 154 - Husband returns home from abroad; Welcome Letter and GC have arrived in the mail

("Resident since" date on the GC is 07/20/2011

From our experience, we brought my husband's letter of employment and the paystubs and guess what, them were the only 2 things the Officer took and kept from our pile that we brought for the interview. Best Luck you guys! :thumbs:

Oct 2005 - met my baby

Dec 2006 - he proposed

Feb 2007 - K-1 filed

Dec 2007 - K-1 Visa Interview (denied), the reason: i was overstayed my previous visit in 2000-2003 (my bad)

Feb 2008 - I-601 Waiver filed

Sept 2008 - Waiver approved (K-1 Visa issued)

Jan 2009 - the Wedding Blessing & Reception (Bali, Indonesia)

Feb 2009 - Arrived in the US followed by the Civil Wedding & Reception (again:)

March 2009 - AOS filed

April 2009 - Biometric

May 2009 - EAD card in hand

Aug 27th 2009 - AOS Interview (approved, yaay)

Sept 2009- Green Card arrived in the mail...yippeeeew...(i want to sing of Your Love forever)

June 2011 - ROC filed

July 2011 - Biometric

Dec 2011 - ROC approved (Best Christmas ever, i must've been a really good girl this year :)

The wait would be unbearable but it'll be worth it. It strengthens the love, it attaches you even more to each other, it shows how your man would do whatever it takes to be with you, that he will never give up on you because he LOVES you!! All the waits, stresses, tears, heartaches, all the miserable feelings you feel along the way will be paid off once you get what you've been hoping for...oh and WITHOUT PRAYERS? will be like trying to start a fire with water, JUST WON'T WORK!

Even if they get direct deposit there should be some sort of paystub, most companies are now green so they dont actually give you one but it should be able to be printed if needed. Letter of employment verifying wages would also be helpful. Last years income tax return and like someone else mentioned, originals and copies of everything you sent in your initial packet

I would take a copy of everything "you already submitted" in case they ask you for it... with some IO's you just never know

we are working on this too...we dont have a lease contract because we are living with my husband's parents at the moment until his brother graduates and move back in the house to watch over my in-laws...the only thing we have are marriage certificate, joint bank and credit card accounts, phone and cable bills, and a crapload of pictures...

08/16/2010: wedding day

04/15/2011: submitted i-130 package (Chicago Lock box)

04/18/2011: received NOA-1 for i-130, check cashed

07/11/2011: received NOA-2 for i-130 approval

10/17/2011: submitted i-485 package (Chicago Lock Box)

10/26/2011: USCIS received payment/check cashed for i-485 package

10/31/2011: received NOA-1 for i-485 and i-765

11/03/2011: received biometrics appointment

11/18/2011: biometrics appointment

12/08/2011: received notice for failed biometrics

12/16/2011: walk-in biometrics (successful)

12/30/2011: EAD ordered and in production

01/03/2012: Received NOA for AOS interview

01/06/2012: Recieved EAD

02/07/2012: AOS interview day (APPROVED!)
