Just a little perspective, The Occupy crowd is like 4000 strong, the Boy Scout Jamboree had 40,000.

I can see how the current government structure of the US could fail and where there could be a resultant fragmenting of the country much like what happened to the USSR. Possible but unlikely. But doesn't it occur to this author that in the USSR breakup the resulting national entities gained, rather than lost, political independence! How does he imagine it would be different here, that Canada, Mexico, and the EU would absorb parts of the US? And even though China might own much of our debt, that still would not result in it being able to absorb the west coast!

Yeah, the only thing that will cause the US to break up is if states actually want to secede and the government doesn't have the hardware or will power to stop them. At best a few more independent thinking states would leave - i.e. Texas and California. Neither will do this in the next 25 years IMO unless we have some sort of major energy crisis.

Unless people of this country stop hyphenating their nationality(African-American, Arab-American, Mexican-American and so forth, just to name few) America is facing grim future. 'Divide et impera' was old Latin saying that proved right throughout the history. Hell one of the reasons Roman Empire collapsed is for incorporating indigenous population from conquered territories without properly assimilating them.

It's already happening, everybody wants to come to America nobody wants to become an American. I believe multiculturalism is flawed and failed concept, just have a look at UK, Canada is down that path too. My beloved America is full of freeloaders and people with dangerous ideas.

Of course, he was Sikh. I understand why Sikhs wear turbans, but nevertheless sight of Canadian police officer with 4 inch beard and turban was bit shocking.
