On the website to see how long VSC is taking to approve I-129Fs I saw this "Field Office Processing Dates for Vermont Service Center as of: August 31, 2011" and also this "The charts are updated on or about the 15th day of each month." Well it seems to have been 2 months since the chart has last been updated. Is this correct or am I missing something? Is VSC particularly swamped with work right now? Are they struggling to get petitions approved on time right now?

you have only been waiting 1 month

Barbara, what does my one month wait so for have to do with whether or not the website is being updated regularly or if VSC is swamped with work right now? Did you assume I was complaining about one my one month wait? Nothing could be further from the truth. I am merely asking whether anyone has any idea of when the website's chart might be updated and whether or not VSC is swamped with work right now.

Sorry guys, my question must not have been clear. I will try to do better in the future.

The way I see it the chart was last updated August 31, 2011. Given that the paragraphs above the chart say it's updated every month, I was surprised to see it was last updated in August. Perhaps, though, what they mean is they post a chart every month regardless of whether or not it's up-to-date.

I am new to VJ but I have looked at the information gathered here by the VJ team which as I understand comes from the VJ members reporting back to this site. I prepared a spreadsheet from the information and it has helped me better understand what to expect. Gather some information that has come from those who is more concerned about a speedy process time and that is us the VJ members. What I have discovered is the from the VSC,where our application is being processed, that since March of this year the time from NOA1 to Interview has an average of 176 days. It also looks as VSC seems to slow down from December through Feburary and then gets back to a faster pace in March of each year. Yeah I have too much time of my hands I know but I am like "Harry" in When Harry met Sally. "When you realize who you want to spend the rest of your life with you can't wait for the rest of you life to start."

Hey, I've been on THIS SITE, and the uscis.gov site every day now, for about 6 weeks, and IT IS MORE THAN OBVIOUS at this point.... they don't have 'KEEPING THEIR WEBSITE UPDATED' as a priority.

It appears, ... THEY PUT YOU IN THE SYSTEM, shortly after receiving your petition/application ... and then, that is about the end of it.

For now,... it's something to either keep you appeased or frustrate the hell out of you, depending on your particular p.o.v.

And, let it be known: ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION IS THE QUICKER AND SEEMS TO ME, MORE FAVORED FORM OF IMMIGRATION, .. OF OUR CURRENT AND PAST ADMINISTRATIONS.

07/27/2011...........NOA1 received.

12/05/2011...........RFE received.

12/13/2011...........RFE response sent.

12/16/2011...........RFE RESPONSE received by Vermont S.C.

12/22/2011...........Teased by a text-message from uscis, saying they have received my response to the RFE.

12/30/2011...........LA VISA APROVADOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!

01/12/2012...........Case Sent To Bogota Colombia, from the National Visa Center.

02/09/2012...........Schedule Interview.

03/23/2012...........Interview (to take place then)!

04/07/2012...........Arrived in USA.

07/01/2012...........MARRIED!

What next?

It always will say 5 months no matter what. That is the standard time. Seems most run about 4 months or so. I got lucky and got mine in under 3, some run as much as 6-7. It really just luck and how many people they have working on your visa category at the time.

The websites are never correct on processing times. You may or may not get an E-mail. The USICS may or may not update your touches and status on-line. It's the Govt. Forget the Website. If you have your NOA1 settle in and wait, your fine.

Oh and its the same bunch wants to run our healthcare LOL.

Scruffydog is right. Forget the web site. That data is fed from their central computers, probably an IBM AS/400 with green screens. A legacy system. When I called to ask why I had a NOA1 letter but no acknowledgement on the web site, the lady told me that the web site data feed

from their central system was broke and had been for a while. She then typed in a few key strokes and said, "yep, you are in the system. It is being processed."

To this day, my information does not show up on the web site but I have a letter and someone has told me I am in the system so I am patiently waiting for our NOA2. ;)

The USCIS website was updated recently because the average processing time for VSC *was* 5 months and it is now March 15, 2011. The changed the site recently but neglected to update the "As of August 31, 2011" date at the top of the chart. All very confusing.

Updating a web site data could be done in parts. With some records being updated be updated and others not. If the data is updated then why is my record not in there? Trust me. This web site is not where the data is housed. This is a secondary system and the data is not reliable and they told me it is not reliable. I have a NOA1 letter with E number and the web site doesn't even recognize it.

You can believe what you want but I have been building software for 23 years and I don't even waste my time to look at it.
