question about dv lottery photo background

Hi,I wanted to ask about specific descriptions of how the photo background is exactly supposed to be because the official site is a little vague;

- does the background have to be a completely unified white color? what if there a very slight gradual darkening in the lower area than the upper area of the background?

- if i manually edited the background in Photoshop (carefully highlight the background and remove it) to create a full unified white background, is that considered "photo tampering" or not? they were never clear about it. Considering NO tampering to face, hair, or body at all happened.

If you are talking about the passport style photos then yes the background has to be white. Photoshopping the background may work fine and may not raise any flags, but passport style photos are relatively inexpensive anywhere in the world. Just get 2 inch x 2 inch or 50 mm x 50 mm. Why risk it for something that may cost $10.

Yes all thos are passport photo examples of incorrect photos. 2in x 2in white background etc.

They give you 4 photos- that doesn't work or I can't seem to make it work
