Hello :)

Have any June filers heard yet? I've looked at our case number on the USCIS website, and it still says "initial review" - will that change when our NOA2 is sent out? Or does it stay in "initial review" until we actually get the K1?

Our last touch was in August, so we're getting antsy!! :)

Thanks :)

We filed in the middle of June and had our NOA-2 at the beginning of October, haven't heard anything since, though.

On the website, after they mail your NOA-2 it switches to the "Post Decision Activity" bubble while they're sending your paperwork onto the next step.

Hope this helps!

This definitely helps!!! Thank you SO much.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who's still waiting. I wish we'd just hear either way! We've got a wedding to plan - as if either process wasn't stressful enough on its own :)

Now I wish we'd filed in Vermont! ;)

Hi, when I received my NAO2 notification on 09/08/11, as was previously stated, the post actvitiy bubble was activated. In addition, if you have set up your account for email notification you will receive the email confirming your approval and that they also have physically mailed (sent out)a letter to you notifing you of the approval and that it was sent on to the NVC. You might want to call the service number at the USCIS 1-800-375-5283 and see if they can offer any additional information that might be needed. Keep in mind that you are still within the outer/maximum "time frame" of the desired approval goals, aprroximately 5 to 6 months. Some have received much their NAO2 sooner and some even much later. If you have NOT received any RFE and it has been around the end of 5 or 6 months, since you filed or received your NAO1, I would call to see what is going on. It is posssible that it could be misplaced or misfiled in another folder etc. I truly feel for you, this is certainly a nerve racking process!! :help:

Please keep in mind and take heart, many of us here have gone through many of the same things and we know what you are going through. There is MUCH help and support here on VJ, things WILL workout for you. Good luck to you both and I wish you the very best. !!!!!!!!!!

Yeap! thats what happens. once you recieved the NO2 then the status change to post decision. That is what happen to me.My petition was forwarded over to NVC and it still wasn't changed, but it is now changed to post decision.Although the usics may not change it right away: however they will change it. By the way I am a june filer also, and I am waiting for a interview. Hang in there guys you should here something soon. good luck!!

Sorry, I forgot to mention that I am also a June filer, which is why I responded to your post and to clarify and that my petition was sent through the Vermont Service Center. :) Sometimes they get behind and will focus on another types of visa applications, for a period of time and when they get "caught up" on one visa type then they shift focus on processing another type of visa application i.e a IR1, CR1, K3, K1. This could also be another possibility.

I just want to note that even if you set up your account for e-mail notification USCIS doesn't always use it. They will definitely send you a letter in the mail, of course. Just wanted to give a heads up in case someone was waiting on their e-mail inbox.

The bubble should change to post-decision activity. A 4-6 month wait is typical for NOA2, and also some service centers are slower than other ones. I don't know if you should worry just yet, since it's been around 4 months which is on the early end for the receipt of NOA2. You're almost there though :) Things move much faster once you're out of USCIS!

Great point or clarification Pocheros!! :) I should have stated that more clearly or concisely. They will definetly send you a confirmation letter regarding your NAO2 approval and that it has been sent on to the NVC.

It is nice to have email notification - provided they use it. Like in my case, it was nice to know about my NAO2 approval several days to a week, before the actual hard copy was received in the mail.

I truly hope that all of my fellow VJ's " June filers" receive your approvals soon. Remember to refer to the sticky at the top of the Canadian forum - (if it applies to you),in regards of what to expect, or how to proceed after receiving your NAO2.

Thanks, everyone! This is SUPER helpful :) I'm glad we applied when we did (about a year from our wedding date) - we're not quite under the gun yet. I've also started preparing all the paperwork for the NOA2 so we should be able to file that quickly.

I signed up for both email and text alerts. I received a text when our NOA1 went out, so that's good!

Have you called NVC to get your MTL number? Once you get that you can call DOS to see if packet 3 was mailed. I never did get my packet 3, I just sent it to the consulate once DOS said packet 3 was mailed.

We filed in the middle of June and had our NOA-2 at the beginning of October, haven't heard anything since, though.
