We were there for Marie's oath ceremony a couple months ago. It was nice along Broadway. Now that the squatters have moved in, I imagine things kinda suck.

Its a 15 hour drive for me - but I have been to CA 3 times and it rained hard every time for 2 weeks non stop ...

It was new years eve and I went in a restaurant on pacifica and the starter was $35

I ask them if they realized what I could get for that in Bangkok - and I wasn't thinking noodles either

Went to the gas station and bought a bag of chips (crisps) and coke (a-cola)

I can buy a hundred rounds of 5.65mm ammo for that

San Francisco is overpriced for most things. There are bargains, but you have to know where to look. I think we paid $24 for burger and fries at one place near the USCIS. It was a good hamburger, and the fries were cooked to perfection, but $24 seemed a little steep.

There is a pub kinda near USCIS - Elephant & Castle I think?

There is a good pub on Geary - Pig and Whistle - 3 dollar pints last time I checked and they carry London Pride and ESB etc. with a proper pull if I remember.

A little steep ? I could get a little sheep for that in Yorkshire

Mis Amigos in Central Washington have good prices and the added salmonella is no charge

Yes the eastern slopes of the Cascades is where its at and even the coyotes are doggy type things and not illegal immigrant guides -

London beer is watery and flat and tastes like coyote urine (I guess). Its worse than miller light.

If somebody threatened to water board me using London beer I would tell em everything

Now if it was Timmy Taylor's championship ales I would walk to CA for that..

(Note the head - just right - London beer has no head coz its watery flat)

It was an Irish Pub we ate lunch at. I could see where that place would be rocking after 5 p.m.

No go area for me - the Irish hate the English. So does every other post colonial country who are unsuccessful on their own and look outward for an external enemy in order to forget their religion imposed serfdom at home. They should blame "Seamus a' Caca" and not us.

The Americans are different because they are big enough and successful enough not to have a chip on their shoulder about the people who were gracious enough to teach them English

Anyway, Ireland has a smaller population than Yorkshire and everyone is always leaving - and it wont stop raining - so it cant be so desirable. The Guinness is ok in Dublin after the first 5 pints - but that's about it. The nightlife is rows of leprechauns with hair on the top of their noses and no women. Haven't been to Dublin for along time.

I avoid Irish pubs like the plague. Went in some in Boston as there was nothing else. All the bar staff in all the pubs were illegal Irish who hadn't been home for 10 years since 9-11 made it hard to come and go

That's the Irish - next week the Welsh. Owain Glyndwr etc.

I can see where the Irish might hold a grudge, especially seeing how their British masters built a pillbox on every street corner in Belfast.

Belfast is In the UK - its our street to build a pill box on. The British are the people there.

The people want to stay in the UK and say so and vote so - the British are not their masters - they are the British.

A bit like TEXAS. The Mexicans says its Mexico - but it isn't.

..and they can buy condoms too
