so i'd have to coordinate the timing with the person who gets the appointment? in other words, call to cancel, and moments later my "friend" calls and picks it up? is there a delay of any kind? i know a lot of Cubans use the fiance visa as a way to bring over family members etc, and i'd really like to reward two people who are actually in love, rather than leave it to chance so some guy can bring over his 3rd cousin. thx for the reply.

Only the Embassy can schedule an interview. You can only cancel it. They will take it from there; don't worry.

No such thing as an Embassy or even consulate for that matter, in Cuba.

YMMV

Hi,

I have been on here briefly in the past and received some great help and friendly encouragement. Thanks for that.

However, my fiance arrived in the US by other means. We have been living in NYC together now for 2 months, and things are great and we are happy. However, we still have our Nov 16th interview appointment for her fiance visa. I was wondering if it's possible for me to transfer this appointment to someone else? Obviously, the recipient must be to a particular point in the process to be able to take advantage, but assuming they are only waiting for the interview, how can I transfer it to them?

I ask for two reasons: 1) for informational purposes, and if it IS possible 2) to transfer the appointment to someone in this online community. I don't know yet how I would choose the recipient, but let's first address whether or not this is possible and take it from there.

Thanks all.

Adding: this is for a Cuban K-1 visa. Thanks again.

No.

Let the consulate know you are cancelling and they will reassign the appointment to someone else. They will not just take an extra coffee break during that time.
