I had a similar situation when my husband interviewed- I'd been living with him in Morocco for 6 months at that point. Photos and my passport stamps were enough to prove that. I'm sure you'll be fine :D Good luck!

J.G.I. ~ We were married in December so when our 6 months were up to file the I-130 it was May. When i called the soonest appointment they had was in the begining of Sept. I was able to still file here because i made the appointment before the Aug cutoff time. So i filed the beg of Sept and we got our package 8 days later...we returned it 18 days later..and we recieved our letter for the interview 6 days later...and actually we checked on the embassy's website and we found our case number and interview date 2 days before we got the letter lol...our interview was scheduled 22 days after we recieved the letter :) It seems to me things are moving along here in Cairo. I wish you luck in getting your case done quickly also! And, yeah we were thinking that me being here and living with his family for the past year and me being here at the interview were huge...especially during the revolution when alot of people left. So, i guess we will just bring pics and our vacation reciepts. Thanks for replying and Good Luck and God Bless to you and your family!!

Thanks a lot. That is really helpful. Another question if you don't mind. Did your husband get the medical examination done before sending the package or after getting the interview letter? The reason I'm asking is the 6 month limitation on the TB test. I'm wondering if I could send the package without the TB and have it with me on the interview day. Thanks again.

You're welcome :) My husband called for the medical appointment the day he got the letter saying the interview date. The medical exam has to be done within 3 weeks of the interview date. When he called they said he could go in the next day...we were there at 9:30...they say come between 9 and 9:30..there was already some people there so you should be there around that time...he had his physical and they took his blood and he just needed 1 shot. Then they give you a number to call for the xray. He went the next day. They send the xray back to the hospital and he was able to pick it up 2 days later. Thats when they give you the medical report in a sealed envelope which u can not open and you bring that to the embassy with you on the interview date. Hope that helps...let me know if you have any other questions and good luck on your process :D

If your relationship is legit then why would you have to "study" all of the below things? i can tell you all these things off the top of my head just because he's my husband!

Because they are interviewing at a consulate in a MENA country so it is a heck of a lot different than interviewing in Australia. You really know off the top of your head what you both were wearing the first time you met? Congratulations on your photographic memory but everyone doesn't have that. Oh and by the way they aren't just looking for you to know the answers, but your demeanor and confidence while you are answering. That is why you go over potential questions and scenarios. The interview is a life changing event. There is no reason to not do everything possible to make sure you are successful.

LOL...we have some things in common with the traveling, Mahshy and coffee...my husband answers the question about what i like to do he says...she likes going to Starbucks! lol...

[/quot

I was so excited to see Starbucks in Egypt!!! My husband had his friend stop the car and I ordered my regular Venti coffee with cream and sugar-YUM! It had been 3 weeks since I had coffee( Nescafe and Turkish coffee aren't the same in my book  )

My husband didn't appreciate it like I did...But it was a major treat :D

What is Mahshy? I don't think we had that. My husband LOVES Shwuerma(:unsure:not sure how you spell it)

I almost died when he tried to feed me fried chicken brain...Took one bite...felt the awful mushy texture...looked to my husband like OH NO, What is this? Without chewing and frantically looking for a napkin...I asked the question. His reply, "Head!" I must have turned green. He said no more for you hun, but you know this is a delicacy and very expensive at 150 pounds. I said, "I will pay you 150 pounds to eat it, but no kisses for you until you wash your mouth out." All was said in good fun and we still joke about it to this day.

I miss my husband so much. I wanted to visit for 3 weeks for Christmas but now I am contemplating because if we get approved, we will have other fees to pay and I need to be in the states to do so. Also, I will have to take 2 weeks unpaid from my work, and this is significant. Considering traveling expenses, the approval and the loss of income, I feel like I need to be patient and stay put. On the other hand, it may be the last time I have a chance to see him for some time. I hate the thought of going a year without being with him. :(
