To all the ppl whose SPOUSE recently had interviews what questions did the embassy ask them. Apart from the basic have you ever left the country, the oath, did u sign the ds paper. I can't think of anything else. Comments are appreciated please. Mainly asking for responses from ppl who are already married b/c I think the fiance interview can go in any direction. Thanks.

Even spousal interview can go in any direction.

They pretty much ask the same questions on Fiancee or Spousal interview about relationship. In both cases you have to proof that your relationship is bonafide.

They asked my wife how I could make so many trips and stay so long while holding a job. Valid question, but you just never know what they are gonna throw out there. I also wasnt aware that all of the supporting evidence I send in at the USCIS would be forwarded to the consulate. (good thing) My wife reieved every page that I had sent when she picked up her visa.

Thanks. Charles any other questions. And how did they know how often you visit by the way. And I definitely know they want to make sure the petitioner can support the beneficiary. I saw them deny a lady filing for her 10 year old.

They knew because they had every page of supporting evidence that I had sent to the USCIS when I filed the I-130. They had the information, but they asked her how many trip I made and the dates anyway. She didnt know the exact dates because they were spread out over a three year period, but thats understandable. questions about how we met, why we decided to marry, what I did for a living, how she feels about moving to another country, what my mothers name was, and how i could make so many trips. That was it.

Trust me they know everything and every little detail. Just to give you a hint, I work for them and sometimes I am shocked... So when I am reading this forum I am not surprise when I read some shocking things about USEM.

They only know what u tell them. If he didn't send them info they would have no idea how often he travels there b/c its not like they ask for his passport.

There is really nothing much in that envelope. When I came with my IV, I saw everything that was there at the POE. Though the CBP officer didn't know what to do with that . Since my POE was in Canada, they had to hold my flight till they can figure out what to do with these documents.

Even without a passport they can know this information. Don't forget that Department of State issuing a passport, as well as they are issuing a Visa. While not all people are doing it DoS is recommending to register with them and advice on the international travel.

They know the length of stay from your I-94 records - the little card that's detached from the immigration form you fill out and give to the officer when you enter the USA.

That's why it's so important that you make sure the check-in agent takes your I-94 when you're leaving the USA. If you've ever had to renew a visitor's (B1/B2) or any other kind of non-immigrant visa, you've probably been asked what's the duration of your longest stay in the USA. And they already know the answer.

Our USCIS application was approved with no problem and our file was transferred to NVC. All seemed to be going smoothly, and we had our interview scheduled. We arrived a little early and were a little nervous.

The questions that they asked do not seem to be typical and to be candid appear to be unfair.

For example:

1) Where did I work prior to my current employer (I have worked at the same place for 13 years)

2) If he is related to my Ex-husband

3) Where I went to school prior to my last school

4) They said that they did not belive the marriage was "real" for the following reasons

a) I had no-one there (a mis-statement since I had 2 friends there)

b) We married too soon after my divorce (we planned to marry during the course of my divorce and were engaged for 6 months)

c) We did not wear "traditional" wedding clothing

d) His family members appeared to be the only ones in attendance

5) They looked at a photo of us in a nightclub and indicated that it appeared to be "staged"

I met my husband in December 2009. Since I met him, we have talked every day on the phone. I have been back March 2010, April 2010, June 2010, July 2010, October 2010, December 2010, April 2011 and September/October 2011.

There is an age difference...I am older than he.

Would appreicate any guidance I can get. I am talking to an attorney and will be visiting my congressman today.

Thank you.
