she might get a medical waiver with the IV unit on interview day

Can you get a Medical Waiver of Sputum Test for TB?

I thought each immigrant had to be clear of TB before they are allowed to immigrate...

is no clear indication of TB at the medical exam, alas.

They've ordered sputum tests for later, iirc, but is not clear indication of 'you have tb, you cannot immigrate'

so 'to be clear of tb', yes, but in this particular case, a medical officer has not said, definitively, that she has tb.

the sputum tests were ordered, and that's it.

See the wedge of difference? I'm hoping Mom and the VO will drive the wedge a bit more.

Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Yes, I understand that she hasn't been diagnosed with TB but isn't the Visa requirement not simply a lack of diagnosis of TB but an actual finding of no TB?

So the question remains, can an Immigrant Visa applicant get a medical waiver for the requirement of a clear TB result?

And the question will remain , as this isn't the case with the TPanda's Mum.

Mom Doesn't have a CLEAR TB Result, a positive result for TB.

My mom never has the TB history, and also no any sign of it. The doctor also told my mom that it's not serious, they just make sure of it.

Now they schedule my mom's sputum test next Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, overlap with her interview schedule (document intake at Monday, interview at Tuesday).

If goese to document intake, does she need to tell the officer her situation?

I say go to the 2 appointments at the Consulate. When/if she has time to go to the 3 medical appointments, go. Medical appointments can easily be rescheduled for another day in the week - Consulate IV appointments ? eh - not so much.
