NVC said yesterday oct 25th that our case was sent out to montreal on the 24th. I used the DHL tracking site and put in our date as EXP 24 Oct 2011A as so many wonderful VJ's have told us about, and I found it.

I saved the page and wanted to post it here but wasn't sure if we are allowed to do that, so some of your pro's here can tell me if this is correct what I am reading. Looking at it on the DHL site, it shows that our case was delivered at 3:32pm today at montreal and they even show who signed it.

Can I post it or is that not allowed. Just wondering so that I know for sure that it is our case.

I am so freakin excited right now. Things are moving quickly.

Praying that every VJ member that is still waiting for their noa2 will get that great news this week that they have been waiting for.

Thanks for the advice in advance. If I can post it, can someone tell me how exactly?

Hey there, Here is a youtube video that might help you.

Just so I understand better, you went to the dhl site and did this after you contacted NVC and got word that they had sent your petition to the consulate?

Here is a good explanation from another VJ'er who explains it really well. Hope this helps. Make sure you choose the country from the pull down menu

after you put in your date info.

1- when you know from AVR that your case was forward to embassy ( mm/dd/yyyy) lets take an example case forward to embassy March 20th 2009

2- go to DHL TRACK

3- then under track list click on track reference

4- put the reference in this shape EXP19MAR2009A and push track

now we seen its completed in 2oth but we searched in 19th yes because they schedule shipping day before so DHL know in advance when they will ship it so day before will be your exact day for NVC shipping your case to your embassy

i tried it this way and worked but i found 2 cases to cairo so which one is mine dosent matter as along as i can keep an eye on it for sure the month will be changing just the example above for explanation

I had to play with the date a couple times, but finally found the date that the nvc said my case went to embassy on the dhl site, and I am under the understanding that this is how we know if it has arrived at embassy.

But I have read in other forums that tracking with dhl isn't always reliable. So, I guess all we can really do it wait and keep calling DOS after we know it has been sent to the embassy, to see if it has been logged and to find out if packet 3 has been sent out yet.

Good luck.

Hello how are you? Hope well. I have a question, would you by any chance have a good phone # for NVC that I can call to see if they received my approval from USCIS yet and get some kind of status on my case at their level?

Here is the info. Hope this helps

The National Visa Center (NVC). Their number is: 1-603-334-0700 (Pressing 1 for English and 5 for an Operator).

They will want both the petitioner and beneficiary’s names and dates of birth, as well as the receipt number for your petition. (WAC# if you went through California, EAC if you went through Vermont). NVC can’t do very much for you as a typical K1 petition doesn’t stay there very long, but this is the information you’re looking to get from them:

-Has your petition arrived at NVC? If not, there’s nothing they can do yet. It can take time for the petition to get there, anywhere from a week to a month, so don’t worry if you find yourself calling frequently.

-Once it’s arrived, does it have a Montreal case number yet? This number will begin with MTL and if they can provide it at NVC, write it down!

-Has the petition left for the consulate? Once this happens, you’re done with NVC! No need to call them for any further updates.

Once it gets to Montreal, it will unfortunately sit there for months. Expect Packet 3 in a few weeks and then once you've received Packet 4, expect a few months wait for an interview. I don't point this out to rain on your parade, but though it seems things are going fairly quickly right now, unfortunately it's about to hit the road block that is the Montreal consulate. Good luck with your process, I hope it all goes smoothly. :)
