NVC ... How long does it take?

Hi all,

Here I come again with a question... I know I have to be patient but, how long does it take since NVC receives the package until they assign a case number and then for them to send it to the embassy?, my fiance called yesterday and they said that they got our package on monday but they have not issued a case number yet, any experience? :star:

*10-26-2011 --- NVC case number assigned :)

*10-28-2011 --- NVC sent to the embassy :)

*10-31-2011 --- Embassy receives package!!! :)

*12-05-2011 --- Medical! _____DONE AND PASSED!!! :)

*12-19-2011 --- Interview!!! :)!! APPROVED!!! WOOOHOOO!!!

*12-29-2011 --- Visa in hand! :D

*12-30-2011 --- POE Newark!! Finally with mi amor!

Hi all,

I think last week the average was 19 days. I hope it speeds up soon.

May 24, 2011 NOA1

Sept 11, 2011 NOA2-took 19 days to get case number

Sept 30, 2011 NVC number and IIN received Friday-gotta wait till Monday

Oct 13, 2011 Case Completed- 13 days from receiving case number Took 32 days from NOA2

Nov 30, 2011 Notified of Interview date

January 19, 2012 Interview- 240 days from NOA1

INTERVIEW RESULTS-APPROVED WITH 14 WEEKS AP--but he got his visa in 56 days!!!!!!

PLEASE EDIT YOUR TIMELINE IN YOUR PROFILE SO OTHERS CAN LEARN HOW LONG EACH STEP TAKES IN THIS PROCESS

Just keep calling; unfortunately on this one it totally differs from case to case.

I got my NOA2 on Oct. 3 and the NVC got my case on OCT. 17 but had no available number at that time.

I called again on the 24th, early in the morning ,this time they said that my case got there on the 21th of OCT ( after saying before 17th) they finally gave me a case number and the operator told me that I had to wait 5 days or so until the case was fully process in their system.

I called like 2 times more to rectify :devil:, and those 2 times the operators gave me different time frames and even told me that I was under more processing and had to wait 3 weeks or so.

To make the my story short, I called AGAIN the 24th of Oct. around 9pm and this time they told me that my case was on its way to the beneficiary's embassy.

SO in resume, is a good thing that your case is there, just give it time and keep calling.

Is it okay for me to jump in with a question? We just got approved on Saturday - 22nd. I am unsure what you mean when you say 'hardcopy' of NOA2? Do you mean it arrives physically through the mail?

Received Visa's (K1 and K2) February 23rd 2012.

POE February 24th 2012.

based from our case, we were approved aug 1 and was assigned case number sept 12.. maybe it varies, not counting the weekends, it prolly took 36 days...

SERVICE CENTER : California

CONSULATE : Manila

MARRIAGE : Feb 15, 2010

I -130 SENT : April 26, 2011

NOA 1 : May 1, 2011

TOUCHED : May 5, 2011

NOA2 : August 1, 2011

Our I-130 was approved in 92 days from our NOA1 date.

CASE NUMBER ASSSIGNED : Sept. 12, 2011

EMAILED DS3032 : October 6, 2011

AOS FEE BILL PAID : October 11, 2011

IV FEE BILL PAID : October 24, 2011

NVC received AOS and IV packs = Nov. 3, 2011

NVC RESPONSE = Nov. 8, 2011 - RFE for missing proof of relationship with co-sponsor

Mailed RFE file = Nov. 9, 2011

NVC received RFE = November 14, 2011, 9:54 am, PORTSMOUTH, NH 03801

CASE CLOSED = Nov. 18, 2011 :D

MEDICAL EXAM = Dec 20-21, 2011 = PASSED!!!

INTERVIEW DATE = January 6, 2012 = APPROVED!!! ----Our interview took 250 days from our I-130 NOA1 date.

VISA PRODUCTION = January 6,2012

VISA DELIVERY = January 11, 2012

POE = Feb.18, 2012

SSN Received = Feb 25, 2012

GC received = April 5, 2012 (incorrect data entry :((, sent back April 9, 2012)

CORRECT GC RECEIVED = August 22, 2012, granted IR1 (10 year gc)

that's where our USCIS process ends for now.. will wait for the next 3-4 years what we'll do next...

Hi, yes, it will arrive to the petitioner address, and there will be your alien number in the doccument :)

Our case made it to NVC on 2oth I think, they gave a case number the next day and it was shipped to the embassy on the 24th arriving on the 26th...so all in all NVC had it for four days which is pretty much what I had expected. Hope you get some new soon :)

Hi guys! Got news yesterday night :)NVC already assigned a case number! :) it took 2 days since it arrived there, now the other question... when will it leave NVC for the embassy??? :huh:
