Hi! Let me give you a bit of a background first before posting my question...

Got married last August in the Philippines and currently in the US on tourist Visa. My husband and I traveled to the US together a week after our wedding. (Boy, immigration gave us a hard time, was there for an hour but let me in anyway, with a 6-month stay stamp on my I-94.)

I am going back home by mid-November and we are currently studying/preparing for the submission of the I-130. Since it's stated that the G325A should be filled up as well by the beneficiary, so that's me, is it wise for me to fill it up and sign before I leave? Or should I just mail it back here to the US after filling-up & signing the form when I get back home?

And yes, we are not going to apply for a change in status...

Sign it while you are here. Be sure to make copies. It is not a bad idea to sign a second copy in the event you later discover a mistake. That way you can get the I-130 submitted as soon as possible.

Takes approx 10 months from NOA1 receipt before interview so plan on being back in the Philippines for a while.

Fill and sign before you leave. The hassle of sending it back after you leave is not worth it and doesnt improve your chances.

Don't worry if each paper isn't signed with the same date. Nor should you worry if the package gets sent off later (even much later) than the date the paper is signed. My husband signed his G325A about 2 months before I actually sent it off, and there were no RFEs.

In the I-130 instruction pamphlet, there's a clause about filling up the G-325A. "Except for your name and signature, you do not have to repeat on Form G-325A the information given on your Form I-130 petition."

What should I do? Did you guys fill-up the entire form still?
