Not sure about Atlanta, but you can definitely go to the biometrics appointment by yourself. In fact, your husband will just end up sitting in the waiting room while you get photographed/fingerprinted which lasts about 10 minutes tops!

When we went to Atlanta for my husband's biometrics they wouldn't even let me in the building. They were pretty busy that afternoon and they seemed to be pretty strict about people having appointment letters so I'm not sure if they would allow a walk-in.

Hey there you can expect to go in there alone if you speak English even moderately well.

Do not bring your cell phone or any bags in there with you. They run it pretty tight!
