When entering canada before my wedding do I tell the immigration officer that Im going to apply for permanent residency from within Canada and risk not being allowed into the country or Do I say that Im visiting relatives and risk them hasseling me with my application and asking me why I had fingerprints done before I came to canada and risk them saying that I came into the country knowing the wedding was planned and that I should of done it outside the country.

I agree with Inky that you should be checking with people knowledgeable with immigrating TO Canada. We are focusing our research, etc on going to the US from Canada and elsewhere.

Personally though I would NEVER LIE to a border guard on either side of the border. They are law enforcement officers and it's a bad idea.
