Hello Everyone!

I was just wondering how long the typical wait time is to get your passport and visa back after the interview in Montreal.

I just had my interview on October 19th (approved yay!!) and I'm very anxious to get all the paperwork back and move down. I know its only been a few days and I may be jumping the gun, but I'm anxious to get it back!!

Thanks!

- T.

Thanks for the link, it was helpful.

I called DOS and they said my VISA was issued on Friday October 21, 2011. They couldn't give me any information on whether or not it has been sent out yet.

Is it normal for it take a few days between Visa issue and DHL pickup?

Anyone else who had their interview last week in the same boat??

Good day, Your case is currently undergoing administrative processing. The Consulate in Montreal, like all U.S. Embassies and Consulates, must adjudicate visas in accordance with the provisions of the law, and, in some cases, this involves extensive administrative processing. While we cannot predict when the processing of your visa will be completed, please be assured that the Consulate and the State Department are aware of your concerns and will do all we can to see that the visa is adjudicated as soon as the qualifications have been verified.
